There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"

Omg wait though… a dnd campaign that takes place in like Wildfire’s world. Or any iteration of post-Stranger Things with monsters and mages. Great. Writing it down.
Starting a new DnD campaign this weekend. First time DMing. I’m gonna make all the players fall in love with my NPCs. It’s fun to flirt with your friends.

I finally got to reading Firetower and you really have no idea how obsessed with your writing I am. You know how to set a scene and paint a picture. I’m already loving this dynamic and how they play off each other. I can’t wait to once again fall in love with another of your stories
This is soooo nice! Thank you so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying it. It's been like two chapters, and I'm obsessed with these too. I like how they can banter and tease one another, but there are still big secrets there to uncover. It's just fun to play with them. I'm glad you're enjoying that dynamic too! xo

How did your first day at your new job go?!
Thank you so much for asking!
It actually went amazing. I work part-time at a yarn store with a bunch of old biddies, and it's actually a delight. I'm genuinely exhausted from being on my feet for two days, but it's so much fun figuring out color matches and who dropped what stitch where. I love it.
This is so sweet. Thanks, nonny xo

for the writer ask game: #76 and wildfire! 👀 🔥
Hiiiiiiii! Thanks for asking xoxo
76. Did you have any ideas that didn't make the final cut of Wildfire?
OHMYGOD. Did I!? Yes, absolutely. I had soooo many ideas that didn't make the final cut. Steve and the Reader were initially supposed to have a much more sexual/enemies-to-FWB-to-lovers story arc, but after I started writing, it just didn't fit with them in the slightest.
I had so many more fight scenes planned with them yelling at each other or like destroying buildings to drop on each other. Like volatile and miserable.
But as I was writing, I was like noooo, these people are in love with each other, and they always have been. They're just really hurting right now. So the enemies angle didn't work.
Maybe for another time though because that would be fun! xo

4, 31 and 42 for the writers asks <3
Hello, gorgeous! Thanks for asking! xoxoxo
I answered 4 here.
31. Do you start with the characters or the plot when writing?
Characters, always! The plot kind of comes out of me as I go. I usually have a premise like "these guys are partners but they hate each other" and then as I'm writing, I'm like oooooh that's why they hate each other, etc.
42. What's the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
OMG honestly it's been chaos around here and I haven't been able to read anything good in SO LONG that I don't even remember! I know that I'm anticipating sitting down to read the newest installment of Torn which I'll always recommend. And the newest installment of Orange Juice too!
As far as other fandoms, I just read this Rust Cohle (from True Detective) fic that like was out of this world on Ao3. If I can find it again, I'll link it. OR I'll actually start that fic rec blog and link it there.

Hello, my dear!!! Thanks for the ask! xoxo
4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
I watch a lot of movies and binge a lot of tv shows! So I think I pick some of my favorite shows and try to weasel ideas from them and shape them around the fandom I'm in. Stranger Things works really well as a mould over a lot of things! Marvel, X-Files, Supernatural, like I find I can sort of bend those to work in this setting with these characters. I'm just playing mash-up of all of my favorite things and making it work... I hope.
9. Do you comment on stories you read?
YES! I'm definitely very shy, but I think I'm getting better and better about it. Especially because it feels SO GOOD to get a comment from someone, and I want the writers I read to feel that warm fuzzy goodness! I'm actually thinking of starting a Fic Rec blog for everything I read that's out-of-fandom so I can reblog it and get those writers out there even more, if I can.
13. What's a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
Write for YOU. Don't write to appeal to the masses, or don't write what's trending, etc. Just write the thing that you most would want to read. It works every single time.
17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (Maybe a lack of inspiration or writer's block)
See above answer! hahaha! No, usually I really, really struggle. For a long time. And I cry. And it's not until I've finally given up and thought, okay, this story just isn't for me. And I put it away, that's when all the ideas start flowing again. And I'll go look at what I've written, and I'm usually like "Damn, this wasn't actually bad at all..." And I get back to it.

18,39,40 for the ask game!!
Hi, lovey!!!
18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do come up with titles?
Sometimes during, sometimes after. Usually, the fic will have a stand-in title that's just boring and like the premise? Wildfire was Partner Fic for ages. So boring. I'm so bad at titles, and I hate them. That's why they're usually one to two words. I hate naming characters, too. It's awful. Worst part of writing. hahaha
39. Share a snippet from a WIP
From Hell Hound:
No, the city had never looked as beautiful to him as it had through your lens.  Steve said that to Robin once, and she wretched over the line and made him promise he’d never repeat it to you. He hadn’t, but he’d also never let one of your photos go un-complimented. He enjoyed the roll of your eyes, the sink of your teeth into your bottom lip as you soaked in the praise and pretended to be shy, to be embarrassed, that you hated your craft.
40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
GAH. What a good question that is just impossible to answer!!! My first thought was like something in Wildfire. Like something on fire. Steve pulling the ice cream out of the walk-in freezer. Steve trying to pull the reader out of her mind-palace with Bonnie Tyler. But it's just so hard to make fanart with Reader insert fics because the Reader could look like anyone!
Ask me a Q from this writer list. xo

This is my DREAM.
The fire's dulled, and you're laying on his chest, staring up at the stars. Everyone's chatting has mellowed to hiccups and murmurs, the sound of the lake hitting the dock.
You've got a leg hiked up around his middle, and his thumb is circling your thigh, just by your knee, and his whole abdomen bounces with a laugh at something you said.
You're in the cardigan now, by yourself, and it hangs loose over your elbows, and you tease Steve that his lips are turning blue.
"Warm me up then," he challenges, and there's something in his eyes then. Is it firelight? Is it starlight?

He looks so soft in that cozy cardigan ahhhh. baby.
