A little reflection on this year.

This was a hectic year for me and it was so long! Not in a bad way, just so much stuff happened that it feels like I've lived at least three years instead of the one. At the start of the year I was grinding to get into uni, which didn't exactly happen like I imagined, but I did get into an art university in the end. More on that later. So from february to april I was making portfolio stuff, especially traditionally done still life studies and stuff like that, since I never did that at home [shame]. The first part of the application went fine and then later on the second part too. Finally I felt a little recognized for my art skills, I mean I know I have tons to improve in, but up until the uni application I never really felt like I was doing anything good. But yeah, my efforts felt appreciated [I was self taught up until uni, so i was a pretty lonely artist] I got accepted into uni in july and after that my flatmate and I had to start looking at a flat to rent, that was pretty annoying and hard but in the end we got a good flat, so it's fine. And then in september, school started. Before that in the last two weeks of summer, I socialized a lot, [it was very out of character for me, i don't really go out usually] which was fun and new. School braught a lot of new stuff to my life too, I seldom meet so many new people, like I did in my new class and I made some friends, so I'm looking forward to hanging out with them more in the next semester. School itself was good, although I missed the illustration tasks, it was more software learning and graphic design this semester, which is fine, I mean I have to learn that too and I am interested in graphic design [it's my passion] so I enjoyed myself and the tasks that I was given, but yeah I hope we illustrate more next semester. [i also fell in love with a teacher of mine, and idk if that's something that should be confessed on this site, but yeah. kind men are gonna be the death of me]

I had ups and downs, I finally met other serious artists [which did result in some jealousy on my part [[not only on my part]] but I managed it and I'm trying to be better so give me credit] besides that I started making new friends, also on a little different note, this was the year I started testosterone so I'm almost a year on T and I've been enjoying the changes, and also the teachers were great in calling me by my new name [i can't change it officially as of yet] so that was really, very heart warming. All in all this was a very new and good year so I hope the next will be similar!!

6. Which artists inspire you right now?

Nowadays Danielle Natasha is the one who really inspires me. She is not really active on social media as far as I know but she has a sketchbook tour up on youtube and I really love that. Other than her I love just any concept artists and I hope to start a conceot art project soon.
