I took this video shortly after finally testing negative. DAY 12. I am so grateful to be where I am in this life. I am even more grateful to have outlets like dance and circus to express myself. I am so glad my mom and dad supported me through those years of dance. I dance wherever I am. It helps me feel closer to home. Because we all know something I really dont like is being away from my loved ones. I really dont know what I would be without dance. I dont ever want to find out. Big love to my first love, dance. 

Then it was my birthday in quarantine! Rachel ordered me a special breakfast and sent me flowers. Such a sweetie. Then my cast sent me some really yummy cookies. My virgin voyage representative also left me little gift the night before, she left me some candy, chapstick, tea, a face mask and a gatorade. Overall I felt cared for even in quarantine which I am grateful for. I decided that may 24th was my land birthday this year and that my boat birthday will be June 24th.. 

Then I tested positive for covid!!! I was super upset and cried. I thought what I was feeling was just sea sickness and stuffiness from tiny room contained air. But nope it was covid. I had a fever and congestion and a big ole cough. Once my symptoms wore off I was extremely tired. Cant forget to mention, when you get covid on the boat you get to dress up in this fancy gear and the boat medical team has full on suits on.. They follow you back to your cabin with this ghostbuster back pack that sprays clean juices at your ankles. It felt alot like the moment in monsters inc where the monster has a sock on him. 

All was good and well. We got to see the show twice, we shadowed scarlet night which was fun. We were learning the ways of the boat. I did about 15?? online trainings. I did them on multiple devices so it would go quicker. I finished first out of the cast which seems worth noting. 

Here is just a cute photo of me napping like a boss on the bus. I came prepared with my special blankie and kernie. This is also where I am convinced I got covid.. but we’ll get to that later... 

Ooo. I almost forgot about this bad boy. From the airport I got to locate the rental car people and pick up this snazzy ride. This photo was taken in front of a cute castle hotel after a super cool dinner. At a tapas place that had so much art and live performers. A Michael Jackson impersonator and a belly dancer. 

Finally, it came time to get on the boat. We all were so excited. We sat in traffic for about an extra hour or two. But it really just helped build the anticipation. This video is our reaction to the first glimpse of what our new home would be for the next few months. 

Also while in Orlando I acquired many bruises and killer forearm splints. I took alot of ice baths which also helped with my ability to withstand a super warm room. My roommate Andrea like the room to be at about 78 degrees. Which is way to warm for me. We eventually decided that 73 was an ok middle ground. Funny story, the first night we were in the hotel I had what I thought was a dream that Andrea had woken up and was standing over me in the middle of the night. But in the morning she apologized to me!!! Because she was in fact standing over me in the middle of the night she said she got confused and didn't know where she was or who I was. I literally screamed in the night when I realized she was standing over me. I was so freaked out. But it never happened again. 

While in Orlando, on my day off I got to go to universal!! Everyone else had to shop for costumes. But since I had already shopped for mine I got to go to diagon alley with our super cool line director Chloe.

Update;

Seems like now would be a good time for an update. I get to get back on the boat tomorrow. I have been in covid quarantine for about 12 days. Most days I alternated sleeping, crying and dancing. I would say to myself cry and buy baby. I made alot of amazon purchases. But also I was put into a beautiful hotel, the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in. I created almost a whole tap piece. I learned the scarlet night pool party dance. I drank boba tea. I read a book. I watched alot of tik tok. So pros and cons for sure. I tried to make the best of my time and not feel too bad. Honestly it could be worse.
