canon x oc is a boring, self centered way to enjoy a story. you're literally putting aspects of yourself in a story and having practically everyone cater to you in some regard. not only that, but you also take what someone made of their canon character, gut everything that makes them Themselves, and replace it with your own shit that just doesn't make sense. it's boring. hope you can understand one day xoxo
the fuck are you on? let people have fun asshole it doesn't hurt anyone. It's what making the story at first place >_< get a damn job

Monsoon's Tenderness
Author's Note: This is an oc x canon fic. Specifically, Hank and Venus (@himawariee's oc). This fic has been posted with their permission.
Summary: Escaping from the rain, both Venus and Hank wait until the weather passes.  In doing so, Venus asked Hank a question.
The scent of petrichor gradually diverges around the atmosphere as the beating sounds of raindrops slowly speed up.  Wetting the road completely by time.  The harmony of each pitter-patter gave out.
Venus looks up at the dark sky as she observes the raindrops spreading and hitting the pavement.  She sighs while glancing up at Hank, who was accompanying her by glaring at the rain as well.  The both were forced to stand idly under the shelter, untouched from the rainfall.
Clutching the supply to her chest, Venus taps the sidewalk with her sole.  The soft sound of tapping coordinating with the firm pitter-patter.
“What tough luck…” Venus said as she extended her arm.  Catching some droplets in the process as she exposed her palm.  “I thought it would’ve been an easy quest but turns out I was proven wrong.”
“Didn’t think that one through huh?” Hank asked.
“Nope, not at all.”
Venus sighed again as she started to take a seat at the only dry spot.
As of right now, this was the worst that could happen during their mission.  Doc was the one who appointed the duo to retrieve supplies for him to use.  However, said supply is unstable to cold temperatures.
That was why Venus and Hank are both appointed.
Currently, the supply is kept warm under the backpack Venus is grasping.  That idea she pitched in.
While Hank was assembling his gears, the backpack that was bought along was being stuffed by cozy blankets.  That idea Venus also pitched in.
Though, it seems all of it came out fruitless.  Along the way, they felt something damp, something that remains and spreads on their skin.
Seeing as the clouds slowly dims, the duo ran to find shelter.  This was the worst thing to ever happen.  The backpack slowly feeling moist from the wet weather will cause the requested item to break.  Thus failing the whole entire mission
Now, Venus starts to tip toe for every beat at a time in an attempt to entertain herself in this waiting game she and Hank was forced to participate in.
The cycle of tiptoeing, observing the downpour, and humming starts to repeat and repeat.  All of these tactical strategies to prevent her from reaching peak boredom loops as the minute passes by.
Eventually, a sigh escaped from her mouth.  Venus glances at Hank who’s been silent.  The goggles display a reflection of the scene ahead of them.
“So, how are you right now?”  Venus asked, as an attempt to start a conversation.  “I know this predicament we got into is… a bit troublesome.”
Hank remains silent as he glances at her.  Rubbing the back of his beck, he closed his eyes.  “I know.”
Nodding in reply, Venus still has this smile on her, most of the attention is on Hank as she’s tapping her feet on the ground to arrange a tune.
“Mhm,” Venus lets out a giggle.  “Hopefully you’re not grumpy over this?”
“...It’s fine.” Hank muttered, batting his eyes away from Venus.
“Even then, we just have to wait.  We weren’t prepared for the rain after all.” Venus added.  “Though, it would be a hassle to carry around an umbrella while you’re hunting down enemies.”
“Wouldn’t matter.”  Hank asserted.  “I would still take them down.”
Even with his shameless remark, it’s possible that Hank will find a way to kill them even with an umbrella in his hand, or perhaps using the umbrella itself as a weapon isn’t an abysmal choice.
The moment of silence ticks away, only the resonance of rainfall continues to sound, doing the talking for the duo.
It’s only just them two, no one’s passing by.  Their surroundings are dreary,  nothing to say, nothing to reply to.
“Hey,”  Venus broke the silence.  “What were your thoughts about me?”
The sudden question alone made Hank freeze for a second.  Turning his head to give his full attention to Venus.  “...Clarify?”
“I mean, our earlier encounters weren’t exactly all happy-go-lucky…”
The air got a bit tense.  She wasn’t wrong with how the chemistry gave off during their first encounter.
If it even sounds convincing, there was a point that Venus hated Hank at first.  Given that she was sent to stop Hank before perishing in the battle.  But hawking at him and seeing him using his strength within his own little performance was sensational to Venus.
Her eyes glimmered seeing Hank produced each procedure.  Eventually, her perspective of him was day to night now.
One would rumor that it was built up to love.  Having worked undercover for Doc was a given.
Now look at them, working as a team regardless of their status at the beginning of this.  Venus got quite used to Hank’s abrasive approach.
“Well, you’re correct.” Hank responded.  “But I guess it wasn’t already clear enough as it is.”
Venus felt Hank’s hand intertwining with her’s.  It was unexpected to say the least.  His grip was firm as both of their gloves pressed against them.  Despite the damp weather, the warmth Hank shared was evidenced.
It was difficult for Venus to maintain eye contact at the scene of the crime.  Her other hands are starting to fidget the fabric of the backpack in an attempt to retain her composure.  Even then, it clearly fails as her face presents a blush.
This was an attempt to comfort her.  A way of reminding both parties of their current relationship, their current status.
Venus shifts her glance around her and Hank, in an effort to hide her rosy cheeks.
Few seconds later, a sound was given off.  Couple of beeps before Hank detached his hand to take the seemingly urgent call.
Recovering from what happened earlier, all Venus can hear is Hank agreeing before her ears perk up at the one sentence, “on my way.”
She looked at Hank as he ended the conversation.  “From Doc.  There was another mission assigned.”
“Another mission?” Venus asked.  “But what about our current situation?”
“He’s aware.”  Hank stated.  “He ordered you to stay.  I’ll need to get going.”
Seeing Hank slowly take a step, walking further and further away from her.  It’s not that obvious that Hank would’ve liked to stick around with Venus.  However, in this situation, he would prefer that option if given a choice.  A blush streaks across Venus’ face as she shouts.
“Wait!”  Venus gently drops her backpack before running up to Hank.
“Hmm? What is it?” Hank turned around at the sudden cry.
“It’s just that… Well, be careful.”
Hank’s eyes widened a bit as Venus looked up at him.  He slowly wraps his arms around her,  presenting and sharing her warmth again.  Eventually, she does the same.
Both are drenched as they were exposed to the wet climate.  But it doesn’t really matter now.
Pulling down his mask, they both lean in until their lips meet each other.
Sharing each other’s breath, they both close their eyes as they start to deepen the kiss.
Hank’s lips have this cold and hard feel to it, in contrast to his pillowy upper lip.
Warmth blossomed in Venus’ chest as her breath tickled Hank.  Her heart skips a beat.
Does it matter if they’re drenched in the rain anymore?  Their moment is now.  Let their embrace deepen as the moments go by.  The warmth, affection and devotion was a given.
Everything only matters with what’s important to them right now.  It’s all an indescribable feeling after they break the kiss.
After a while, Hank turns around and walks away after saying a few words.  Venus waves at Hank as a sign of goodbye.
Seeing Hank walk further and further away, she can’t help but to sigh.  Walking back to the shelter and after an attempt to dry herself off.  She goes back to clutching the backpack.  As she observed the item in there, she heard a noise.
Meow? She glances at the source.
“Oh! A kitty cat.”.  The cat is approaching Venus with a purr.
Pleased to have the cat come up to her and rest beside her.  She can’t help but to let her hand graze through its soft furs.
Luckily the cat was dry.  Perhaps it was in the same boat as her and Hank, a coincidence that they were staying in the same shelter.
Continuously petting the cat, it lets out a purr, closing its eyes.
Venus chuckles at this as she nods.
“Maybe it won’t get overly lonely now after Hank left.”
