The storms have a way of making her restless, dredging upmemories that Rose would rather forget but Alisha seems to understand, holdingher close and gently running fingers through her hair.  It’s a soothing motion, one that helps todistract Rose from the sounds created by the crackling lightening and rumblingthunder.  

Alisha’s voice is soft as she talks about everything andnothing and even though Rose only understands bits and pieces of everything,she could listen to Alisha talk for hours. Slowly Rose begins to relax, pressing closer until she can focus on thesound of Alisha’s heartbeat.
