poison is a great music but when I saw the clip within the series everything changed completely for me.
I already expected that they wouldn't know how to write angel's character well, but seeing the poison video was simply decadent, honestly.
I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but I know when they're treating something like a fetish when I see it.
I know it's an animation about characters who are in fucking HELL, but real people wrote the script. The violence that angel suffers is specifically delicate to deal with, and I honestly didn't see any care on the part of the writers in dealing with it.
There is no other word to describe the poison clip than: unnecessary.
after all, angel's issue is the most similar to REAL LIFE, so much so that: it's not like a normal human ate human remains in the middle of the street (thinking of another graphic scene to exemplify what I mean)
real people live in angel's shoes, it's not like this issue could be treated as rudely as it was. It's not as if the clip was an action of empowerment and overcoming. that was made to show the worst of these situations and was extremely romanticized
#It's not like most fans would admit that it really was something TERRIBLE since a lot of people#simply turn a blind eye to the problems that exist in vivzie's creations etc#anyway I really like hazbin and helluva and that's the main reason I'm really hurt by all this#the only thing I can hope is that they write a better script to develop this whole situation because it's currently terrible.#I hope angel's character is treated as a real person who has a shitty life and not as a mere fetish for the audience.#hazbin hotel#angel dust
