THERE IS SOMETHING TERRIBLE ABOUT THE WAY the night drags on, with the moon & swirling clouds in tow; the expressions on the streets leads him to believe the city feels it as well. the weary caped crusader & his trusted companion travel from one barren roof to the next, all the while keeping a WATCHFUL EYE on the happenings below them. this monotonous routine preoccupies most of their nights, with the more stimulating disturbances dispersed sparsely throughout the year. however, as his eye barely catches sight of a woman loitering around the back of one of wayne enterprises’ warehouses, HE REALIZES THAT TONIGHT MIGHT YET HOLD A SURPRISE. they were nearing gotham harbor, INFAMOUSLY known for being somewhat of a crossroads for many of the city’s illegal commerce--- he mentally reminds himself of the recent drop in unsolicited activity there & it only leaves him wondering what business someone has with bruce wayne’s assets ( the disconnection is there, albeit slight, but there ).
WITH A QUICK WORD TO ROBIN, the batman angles himself to drop to a small, abandoned factory adjacent to their point of interest. he watches in silence as she attempts to bypass the improved security system he had pushed to the entire company the month prior, his curiosity slowly wearing on his caution. he would have allowed her to continue if it weren’t for robin’s whispered questions, CLEARLY CARRYING HIS THINNING PATIENCE. he only offers a cocked half - smile to the boy as acknowledgement before he instructs him to follow. the descent into the alleyway is quick & silent; he lets robin wait in the shadows before coming up behind the woman, his ensemble CASTING A SHADOW on the same door she worked so diligently on.

you know what i’d like to see dynamic-wise on this blog? more people mentoring bruce, developing a relationship there & then seeing him years later as batman. or people who were “friends” with bruce (he admittedly did not have a lot of friends after his parents died, he was often bullied. this further led to his self-isolation & developing obsession/hurtful coping mechanisms) as a teen/young adult & them reconnecting as adults. i’ve said it since the start of this blog, but a big span of bruce’s life is just kinda vague, minus knowing that he spent a lot of time in asia. imagine the different types of people he met and learned from. let’s talk about that.
#im so bored.. of plots revolving around current batman AND#THAT'S NOT TO SAY THAT MY ESTABLISHED PLOTS BORE ME RIGHT NOW#but constantly thinking of just that time period is really limiting#like we get it.. *i* get it#i'd like to explore a bruce thats much more#well.. idk how to describe it other than calling him a rookie#he was so aggressive.. even with positive emotions#polite and kind still! but i think his development from a child to teen to young adult to becoming batman is very interesting#you literally see his decline.. not to be morbid but batman is not sustainable#bruce's batman* i mean#not with all the shit he has to deal with and go through#you'd think he'd be improving his mental health and maybe he thought the same#but like i said.. we'll talk about that later#let's talk about this canonly rosy-cheeked kid billionaire#🤭#tbd.

happy father’s day to the man who might hesitate at the mention of the word “father” but is nonetheless one of the best mentors/parental figures in the dc universe. bending over backwards for these children and refusing to even consider himself as righteous for doing so just because “that’s what anyone should do for a kid.” there’s times where the large, intimidating batman will bend down to play/talk with a child or to cradle a baby in his arms— there’s really nothing more cute than that! so, as usual, we love bruce wayne!
#before anything is said#i don’t consider any instance of him putting a hand on the children around on him as canon#i don’t understand why him hitting kids or dick/jason/tim when they’re grown-up..#what kind of value does that bring#he does it out of anger too there’s no.. meaning behind it. not that it would make it any better of course but#in terms of what it does to the dynamic btwn bruce and whoever..#yeah this man is losing his mind all the time but y’all write him beating bane through sheer willpower (and wit) like bitch#it’s been said that bruce’s willpower is unheard of in dc.. overshadowing the justice league and yet he cant hold his own anger (or#whatever he’s feeling) so that he doesn’t hit anyone??#MAN THE WHOLE IDEA THAT BRUCE LASHES OUT VIOLENTLY DOESN’T MAKE SENSE. he’s not that kind of guy. he CAN get violent and he does but that’s#with villains or people who deserve it#or he targets some nonliving object to throw or whatever#anyways.. love bruce wayne ☺️💕🦇#ooc.
