AH!

So this is Godhunter, she was spawned almost entirely from a conversation I had with a friend about how guns probably don’t exist in Hallownest because it being a subterranean kingdom means almost nowhere is large enough to really benefit from that kind of long-ranged weaponry; it’s hard to find something a gun would do that a thrown scythe or magic couldn’t do better.

Then of course I had to air the idea that guns probably would see more use out in the wastelands and that rolled into a character on its own.

Godhunter is a carrion beetle, who probably has a real name that she doesn’t really use because who’s talking to her, she lives in the middle of nowhere. Like most in the wastelands between kingdoms, she takes up cozy habitation inside the corpse of a larger creature- in her case, it’s a decaying wyrm. It’s definitely completely dead and gone like the rest of its kind, and there’s probably a perfectly good explanation why, if she leaves the corpses of her kills further inside the shell, they’ll be picked clean within a day, leaving anything inedible for her use. It’s probably the same perfectly good explanation for the really weird dreams she has compelling her to hunt larger and more powerful prey. Or why the hordes of wild, mindless bugs that tend to assail most wasteland wanderers stay far away from her humble abode.

She’s loud, rude, scrappy, has no vocal filter, but is pretty much happy to blather everything at whoever she meets because she barely gets any company. Not that she can hear you super well since the sounds from her weapon, and her various other homemade explosives, have nearly deafened her at this point.
