A Crunch and Tani (one of my old OC’s) I drew in Portugal, and coloured in NZ :-) been a long time since I revisited these two, especially Crunch! Interesting to see them change over time. Tani turns 20 years old this year too (created her in 2002!)

TBH, as much as I love Crash 4, and I enjoyed the new characters and more complex storyline-- I completely agree that the game would have benefitted from a more slimmed down story overall.
Like, as cool and menacing as fem N. Trophy is, on top of her being the main villain in alt Tawna's story.... I think she's not necessary. The writers could have still gotten the message across that her Crash and Coco are dead and that her N. Trophy was the cause of this. Literally, a simple throwaway line like "You have him here too?" Or "I beat you in my dimension, I can beat you in this dimension too."
So, removing fem N. Trophy and trading her for Tawna would have been plausible, and I think I would have preferred it. We needed the closure 😭
Also, I think the only thing that genuinely annoys me about Crash 4 is the storyline with N. Brio. It's such a 180 from his character to go from despising Cortex enough to team up and help the Bandicoots defeat him to.... Go back to working for him.....
Ideally, he and Coco could have detected that something was wrong with the universe with [insert lab invention thing], and then have Aku Aku drop some info on the quantum masks being the ones who literally keep all universes/ dimensions/ realities balanced and running. Then continue with the storyline we know. Heck, N. Brio could have been the one to let the Bandicoots know where the masks would appear, so at least them floating around in the middle of a level wouldn't be completely random LOL
if you could change crash 4’s story, what would u change? personally i would prioritize focus on the returning characters (and bring back the entire rogue’s gallery + classic tawna) instead of introducing new ones.
