This story has been sitting in my mind since the end of Champion, but it took me a long time to understand why I wanted it to exist. How do you move on from the trauma of a revolution? How do different people cope, and how do you heal without pushing each other away? How do you find love and joy again? I haven’t finished the series man, my damn local bookstore got the first book and third book, no sight of book 2, still waiting…

I really enjoy the first book, considering there were many plots, characters, and important transitions between places, the author manage to executed them well in 355 pages, it’s actually really impressive, still I wish there was something, like more of OOMPH you know.

Anyway, I really love that part when Raffaele testing Adelina as she shifted her memories back when she was 15, when a suitor joking about cornering her, she laughed and imagined herself mixing poison into his tea, watching and admiring him dying, I can relate that to some certain level, lolz.

Raffaele is soooo hot btw.
