It has been several months since I last logged in.  My father’s death took more out of me than I had realized.  I’m feeling the writing bug again so hopefully I’ll have more fanfic for you soon.

A little more of a wait
I apologize for not posting more of the story.  It’s going to be a bit more still as there has been a death in the family.  I have worked on it.  It’s just not at a length where I’m comfortable with posting it as of yet.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Heads Up
Sorry I haven’t posted a follow up to the fanfic as of yet.  My roommate had to have an emergency appendectomy so my head space hasn’t been geared for writing. I will work on more likely starting later this week or early next.

I’ve replayed this so many times that I know where everything is.  It still feels like this every time I humiliate Florianne.

A rushed goodbye
"Inquisitor, shall I arrange for an escort to the port?" Josephine Montilyet inquired as she looked up from her paperwork.  In the months following the Exalted Council, the Ambassador had seen to the slow albeit steady dismantling of the Inquisition. It was no small undertaking when one considered the scope of the organization; but as always, Ellana Lavellan's friend rose to the challenge.
"No.  No need," Ellana replied as she stepped away from a nearby  bookcase.  "And please, call me Ellana.  That isn't my title any more."
"I've made arrangements to make sure that any of Leili--," Josephine began, only to pause and clear her throat. "Divine Victoria's remaining agents are occupied.  That and any disguise you choose to use should provide you with a degree of privacy."
Ellana smiled sadly at her friend.
"I'm sorry to put you in this position; but, I assure you it's for the best.  Divine Victoria has her hands full with the Chantry and I ..would rather that neither the Chantry nor the Orlesian Courts find me.  It's more difficult to use me as a piece in the Game if they don't know how to reach me."
Dorian remained the only person that had any means of contacting her; but, that particular 'gift' she kept hidden.
"I understand," the Antivan woman replied, slipping out from behind her desk.  This time it was Josephine's turn to offer Ellana a wistful smile; but, that was followed promptly by a warm embrace.
"Good luck in your search, Ellana." -- Terasyl'an Te'las Whether or not the rest of the Inquisition had realized it, Skyhold had been a gift from Solas.  Morrigan had once remarked that ancient elvehn magics had helped protect the place; but, now Ellana Lavellan left behind its massive stone walls and what was left of the defenses.  She hadn't bothered to look back as she made her way through the mountains. Doing so was unnecessary.  She could always visit it in her dreams and in truth she didn't want to return unless it was together - with Solas in hand. ‘And what will you when you find him?' she asked herself.  There remained no easy answer to that question.  It was one that had plagued the former Inquisitor since the end of the Exalted Council.  That question alone was a large part of why she had made arrangements with Josephine to leave while the Divine's agents focused more on leads pertaining to disruptions in Trade between Orlais and Ferelden. Ellana needed time to find the answer - by speaking with Solas more, alone. On the off chance that Josephine contracted spies of her own to follow her after a fashion, the elven woman chose a less traveled pass leading away from the fortress, through an ancient ruin located in the mountain, beneath the fortress itself.  She had found it by chance in the fade while dreaming, and doubted many knew of its existence.   Had she more time she would have preferred to sleep there in earnest.  There remained the possibility that some other secret or detail regarding Elvehnan existed. Some clue to understanding Solas, perhaps.  There was however also the strong likelihood that the location would resonate with the Well of Sorrows and prove difficult for the Inquisitor to handle.   Two and a half years with the Well in her head - and she was no closer to understanding the depths of knowledge within.  There was mostly silence unless the voices had some nuggest of wisdom to share.  They had grown quiet since she lost part of her arm - and the mark. That particular fact hadn't escaped her attention; however, Ellana had not shared such with her Inner Circle. It was just one more thing to try and figure out along the way. The sound of legs skittering across the rubble-strewn path pulled Ellana's attention back to the present. With one arm she could still channel magic with little issue; but, with a ruin that old, it was wiser to leave quickly than engage in a fight.  There was no telling how many spider nests infested the area - not without drawing further attention to herself.  "Sou'i've'an," she intoned, tugging at the power of the fade through word and gesture.  A fade cloak soon surrounded her body - at which point she started to run, unseen and unheard. (( *Sou’i’ve’an translation as provided by the Project Elvehn Lexicon by FenXShiral:   Sou'i've'an n. power of the fade, energies of the fade lit. strength of the beyond. ))

My first post!
I’m new to tumblr and seriously need to learn my way around.  :) In any case I thought this would be a good place to start with writing again.  The problem is I’m navigating my way around Fan Fiction and am not quite sure I know how to write a cohesive story to begin with.  I thought this would be a good place to start posting what I’m working on.   For now my focus is on a story that involves the Dragon Age Universe.  More specifically it examines life for a Female Mage Inquisitor Lavellan after the events of the Exalted Council (post Trespasser), and her own efforts to find herself and her vhenan again.
