tiana was very irritated and frustrated after what she heard at pranav's door. she couldn't deny anymore that the attraction was real, and she was furious at herself for it. did it have to be this guy?? she was furious at him, that he was the same never changing playboy. then she was angry at herself for putting too much meaning into their little chit chats and friendly hangouts--there had never been anything explicitly romantic between them, they were not dating or anything, and he would do whatever he wanted. and what did she expect from someone like that??
then the worst happened. he just dropped by someday as if nothing was going on. she reacted very coldly at first, then couldn't keep her anger and became dismissive and tense. finally spit out the words: "i heard you."
pranav's amused reaction pissed tiana off even further, and she started to yell at him. he laughingly said something about the sounds being his father and some girl, which sounded incredibly absurd to tiana. then suddenly--in the middle of fighting--how come they had their first kiss??

disturbing sounds were coming out of pranav's apartment again. tiana could feel a knot in her throat and her hands felt numb. she didn't knock to complain this time. didn't want to see anything.

as you may remember, lucas munch was one of snow white's dwarves and he and tiana got a bit close when she was still living in windenburg. so he dropped by one day, and just the same day pranav came over to invite her to karaoke. tiana couldn't say no to either of them, so she introduced them to each other and they all went down to the small karaoke place in the neighborhood.
somehow the two guys didn't seem to like each other much... were they getting competitive over something?? it was weird for tiana to see them together. a few years ago, she could definitely see herself with lucas, but now she couldn't feel it anymore. she had a duet with pranav--they had such a fun synergy! despite being so different in personalities, somehow everything felt right and they clicked so well.
lucas was a bit tense, and decided to leave early. and guess who suddenly showed up..... uh... oh hi hello big brother!! in your work clothes.... as a musician..... after work, where you play the piano all day, you decided to sing karaoke in your sister's neighborhood... how nice!
ngl this sent me especially seeing how happy thelo was to see tiana LOL. was also super funny seeing pranav all timid and nervous when her brother came along out of nowhere.

as annoying as her neighbor pranav was, tiana didn't know that many people in san myshuno, as she was working quite hard. and when he wasn't being a jerk, pranav was actually kinda fun to talk to. so when the spice festival came to town--which tiana of course couldn't miss--she didn't mind him tagging along.

soon enough, tiana graduated from high school and started as an employee in a nicer restaurant than the bistro she used to work part time at. she was making the most of her life in the city, keen on discovering new horizons and widening her tastebuds by trying out new food. despite the challenges, this neighborhood was just perfect for her!
ngl it felt great for me too, since i was getting quite sick of playing such a large household at snow's cottage in windenburg with its winding hills.

apartment life brought challenges that tiana could never think about in her family cottage. this pranav, her next door neighbor, seemed to be with another lady like every week. and they were so noisy too! gross. when tiana finally complained about it, he made fun of her--what a jerk! he seemed like a totally useless, lazy, shallow bum who was only good for chasing women.

one day tina just dropped by. tiana was overjoyed, especially since their relationship just before she left had been a bit rough. they had a nice casual chat.
later, one of tiana's most joyous moments in her new apartment came when she invited all her siblings over for a nice lunch. she could show off her new apartment, her improving cooking, and catch up with them and hear everything they have been up to. thelo, for instance, had engaged with evie delgato! tina was planning to enter the university after graduation, and tatiana's head was full of romance ♡

soon enough, tiana met this really handsome dude called pranav who was living next door. he was a few years older than her, and seemed a bit too cool to notice a teenager. hmph! she had her own stuff anyway.
she was just too busy improving her cooking and with her bistro job, and couldn't wait to finish high school and get full time in a culinary career.

and here finally is tiana's new home sweet home in san myshuno!
it's the 20 culpepper house in spice market; the apartment with the huge kitchen and the chef's kitchen trait. tiana was enormously lucky that it was vacant just as she was looking for a place to lease, and the rent was affordable. still she had to grind quite a bit in her early days, since her part time fast food job wasn't paying much.
i'm not much of a builder really. i love decorating interiors in the sims, but always just use whatever shell i'm given. i did the same with this apartment. but had a blast decorating it in a totally new style very different from snow white's cottage! in those days the apartment seemed huge just for tiana, but in retrospect i'm so glad she didn't move into someplace smaller.
tiana's aesthetic in my rules is "city pop", which i interpreted very loosely as an urban style with popping colors (lol) rather than actually going for the more specific japanese city pop aesthetics. in the screenshots you're also seeing a glimpse of her new outlooks, but ofc a cas post is coming soon too :D

and the moment of truth! tiana said goodbye to her big brother and little sisters before moving on to her big new adventure in san myshuno.
it was a bittersweet moment. unknown to the girls, thelo was secretly suppressing his own dreams in support of tiana's. before losing their parents, he had been looking forward to the day he would move to the city and try his chance in the music career. after losing first davis and then snow, the feeling of responsibilities as the big brother sank heavy on his shoulders, and he decided to stay with the twins until they finished high school. tiana had no idea that her brother was sacrificing his dreams for the sake of hers.

tiana stayed just a little bit longer after the twins started high school, but then soon after she broke the news of her intention to move out. she herself was still a teenager, but she was about to graduate and was already earning her keep on a part time job. the twins and thelo did feel a bit insecure about their number decreasing with so much to do to keep the house in good shape and continue schooling while having enough money to go by. at this point the only one among them with a full time job was thelo, who had started as a musician *cough* thelonious monk *cough* thelonious prenses *cough*. but they all knew that tiana had been dreaming about moving out into the city since a very long time. so nobody objected.
a bit irrelevant but i just found it so touching how snow, even after her death, would visit to help them with the house chores.

luckily, tina and tatiana grew up before long ♡
for many, tatiana was the princess of the household, she was charming, bubbly, romantic, and just full of life. to this day i cannot get over the beauty of her flowery hair.
tina, by contrast, was introverted and gloomy. she was extremely smart and loved reading alone in a quite corner--which sadly was rare to find in the crowded prenses household.
i swear to god i always thought tina as a teenager looked lovely omg. now i look back and she looks like she's almost about to die of tuberculosis! i related big time with her, even though i adored tatiana. for some reason these two became archetypal for many of the siblings further down the genealogy.

up until this point, tiana was hoping to move out soon to start her independent life. she was feeling quite trapped in a cottage with a family of six. but after losing snow, with two younger sisters who were still in grade school, she couldn't leave her big brother to carry all the burden. she started working at a bistro and they all clinged together to stay afloat.
in the meanwhile, evie delgato was extremely sweet to thelo. as soon as she heard of snow's passing, she called him to meet to talk. they were getting closer, and soon became a very sweet couple.

Have pets (forest animals preferably)
so as you see, my rules for snow white weren't that difficult at all like, one of them is just to have pets lol. but i was so inexperienced with the sims, and really REALLY story oriented. in the end, i had to play snow until her death of old age and even then still couldn't finish all the tasks: i never got to complete the friend of the animals aspiration (also tbh, why the hell is that aspiration so difficult?? i didn't want to get new pets after losing bambi and flower and struggled hard to get close with strays), and never maxed the baking skill--still did gain a lot weight tho lol.
but that notwithstanding, i still had a blast with it! snow white is my favorite of all disney princesses, so starting this legacy with her was such a treat ♡ and now, a fuller start for the second gen, tiana, is coming.

and snow died.
the end of my first generation in this legacy. also she was the only gen that i played into her old age. but now it was over.
they engraved her epitaph, "her life was love."
and tiana and her siblings were now left to figure out their lives without their parents.
