Of course, she would like to see you a better version than the day before, but she always overlooked the little mistakes you made in your reports and she will continue to.

And no one will dare say anything about you, ever, because Sabine has ears everywhere and she doesn't mind having a live subject to try her toxins

The only time you can pick up tidbits of information about her personal life is during your overtime, when only the two of you are working.

She won’t say much, but hey, any information is information

And she gets more...touchy in those moments when you two are alone - as touchy as Viper can be

She snakes a hand up your back, soft and slow, looking for any reaction of disgust or fear from you.

She notices the way you look at her when you two are working, she's not stupid

But she can't believe that life would be so kind as to give her someone as perfect as you.

Not after all she have done

She makes baby steps in your “relationship”

Part of her hopes you'll get tired of waiting and go find someone else

Part of her expects you to stick with her and keep coming after her, because she will come after you...someday.

Knows few words out of context because of Reyna and Gekko

He thinks it's cute to see you mad, yelling all these things that don't make sense to him but seem so beautiful the way you say it

Secretly takes Spanish lessons so he can talk to you, since he knows how difficult it is to express yourself in a language other than yours

It's impressive how easily he learns the new language, in no time he already pronounces each syllable like a native

And he won't mention anything, waiting for the right moment to catch you off guard.

He gives a hearty laugh as your eyes widen in surprise hearing him say those words in Spanish in such a subtle accent

"Eres la persona mas hermosa, mi amor"

Would like to teach you Arabic, at least the basics, but he won't force you to do anything, after all, Arabic is one of the most difficult languages in the world

If you agree, no one else can stop you two

Communication in "codes", a mixture of English, Arabic and Spanish, so no one ever knows what you are talking about

Loves your family so much

Has too much fun at family parties, eating barbecue, drinking beer and listening to the gossip of people he doesn't even know

He is not a religious man at all, and sure as hell not even close to christian, but he loves Navidad, all the traditional foods that come with the date, the children excited to see the oldest uncle dressed as Santa Claus, he is captivated by it all.

And your family adores him. He is a very charming man, it's hard not to like him

Can't dance for his life, looks like he has two left feet

He started to understand more when he developed a more serious relationship with you and even more when he became Gekko's coach

Ended up learning the basics in practice

His accent is horrible, but the intention is good.

He keeps asking you for help to try to get better

A puppy in the body of a full grown Rottweiler

When he tries to say something in Spanish and gets a compliment from you, he's all happy and you can see the sparkle in his eyes for the rest of the day

Doesn't even mentions Hindi lessons to you because it's also one of the hardest languages for Latinos to learn, but he gets so emotional when he sees you taking lessons

The best teacher, teaches you all the secrets for you to learn everything very quickly

Likes to talk to you in Hindi and Spanish but only when you're alone, he feels embarrassed to exclude others from the conversation.

Loves your family and loves the food they make even more

Everything has so much spice and flavor..reminds him of home

He is very popular with your relatives, he is very tall and muscular, he ends up spending the entire trip doing favors for everyone.

Spanish speakers tend to speak very fast...too fast for Varun to understand what your relatives are saying sometimes, but he never has the heart to ask them to repeat it, he just smiles and nods

Of all events, he loves going to quinceañeras the most, he thinks everything is so cute and princess-like

But mostly because it always has lots of food and dancing

At first you didn't even know he was there, in the shadows, watching you cry

It was when you felt a heavy blanket being gently placed around your shoulders that you realized you weren't alone.

He doesn't say much, but you know he's worried. The way his form shakes more than usual, he is very worried about you

Omen won't pressure you to tell what happened, but he would be happy to know.

If someone said something mean to you, he'll pretend he forgot for a while and one day, that person just disappears without leaving any trace of what happened.

If you accidentally hurt yourself, he will constantly remind you to pay more attention after that.

Viper’s [y/n] dying on field

Warnings: angst, mentions of death, torture and depression. Very angsty

No one wanted to give the news, fearing for her reaction.

But when that happens, she looks normal, no overreactions, just a neutral face.

But that's just outside

On the inside, when she finally realizes what was really going on, she felt like had she died with you.

She alternates between the stages of grief, being anger, bargaining and depression. But she'll never be able to accept and get over the fact that you're really gone.

She goes back on the fraternization rules and much stricter. If she knows of something going on between two agents, the punishments are...terrifying.

It might sound like a sour thing to do, privating everyone of having a loved of because of the lost of hers, but she genuinely doesn't want anyone to go through what she's going now.

What is ironic that she herself broke her own rule and suffered the consequences of her “imprudence”

Sometimes she wishes you weren't as sweet and loving as you were. Everything would have been easier if she hadn't fallen under your spell.

No one will touch your room. She made sure to make it clear to everyone that everything that belongs to you will remain in that room, locked, forever.

In the dead of night, when the sadness is too strong, she goes to your room and lies on your bed in search of a solace, but noticing that your perfume is subtly disappearing from your belongings no matter what she does, it only makes the pain in her chest get worse.

She's definitely going to go after your killer, and she's not going to kill them fast with a headshot; no, she will torture them as cruelly as Viper can until you are avenged, then leave them to die and rot in a place where they cannot be found or remembered.

After the revenge, she feels an even greater emptiness. What was still holding her steady was the hope of getting her hands on your killer, now that it was all over… what's left for her?

Days working non-stop, just on automatic, wanting to find a way to overcome what happened

The agents went more than a full week without seeing her, locked in her lab and honestly? Everyone was worried about her mental health but again, no one has the courage to say anything

Security protocols on missions have also been intensified and training is almost obsessive.

Sabine can't let anyone die in combat anymore, there's no Brimstone or Sage or Omen to change her mind about the new protocols

Many have tried to talk to her about her attitudes, but she just can't change. She couldn't protect you from death and remembering that you died alone, scared, makes her determined to protect others like a big ferocious lioness.

Viper will always be the shell of a woman who has lost the love of her life.

She won't and doesn't want to move on, find someone new. You'll always be her partner and she'll try her best to honour you.

There is no more sparkle in her eyes or the will to make a better world if you are no longer by her side, ready to share the happiness of a life together.

❝Astra:

You had already gone on several dates and to make something more memorable, she proposed a surprise to you.

She chose a picnic at night, in a beautiful moonlight when there is no cloud in the sky so you can see the stars.

Although Astra is super easygoing, she was just a lit bit stressed to plan everything, it had to be perfect.

Would you like her idea? What if you don't?

Harbor has to calm her down so she can see it's going to be fine.

It's a surprise date, so you didn't know what to expect...and as a result, she wouldn't let you help with anything either.

I think Astra knows how to cook mouth-watering food, and she used that skill to make your favourite foods, most likely your comfort dish that you once told her was without any pretense and she kept that information as if was something precious.

Efia keeps the memory of your face glowing with the revelation in her heart, when you went to meet her on the HQ terrace and saw a shiny towel spread out with several plates of food on top, some candles lit and even a telescope, you looked so happy and she knew she nailed it.

You ate, watched the stars - she showed you her favourite constellations, laughed with stories of your day to day and when you realized it, it was already time to say goodbye.

She walked you to the door of your dorm and as you gave her a goodbye kiss on her cheek, you promised that the next date you would plan.

❝Brimstone:

He liked to have picnics when he was younger.

Until he had to dedicate himself full time to the army and that habit was left behind.

One day you heard Kay-o talk about a picnic he and Brim had in the backyard of the white house and even though he denies he did it, it stuck in your mind

You decided to ask him out on a date, but didn't say very well how it would be, just that it would be on the beach.

When he arrived and saw you under an umbrella, on a towel, putting the snacks you had prepared....man, he felt his heart skip a beat.

He loves you so much

Enjoying the breeze and eating quietly, he felt extremely light, forgetting all the responsibilities and headaches that the Protocol gave him.

At that moment there was only the two of you in the Universe.

To be honest, you two looked like a married couple, just enjoying life's calmness

He is very grateful that you took several hours out of your day just to do something nice for him.

Maybe he dragged you to take a swim in the sea together if you don’t fear the water

And laughed nonstop because of your grumpy way about getting wet

Building several sand castles for sand Brimstone and sand [y/n] to live in.

After you had enjoyed a lot, when the sun was already setting, he decided to take you for a ride on his motorcycle.

And like a movie, your day ended on the back of your partner's motorcycle, enjoying the surroundings of the beach.

❝Harbor:

Y'all didn't know what kind of date to do until during some quick research, he liked the idea of having a picnic.

Like, really liked it.

You've never done anything like this before, it would be nice to do something so..domestic.

He looked like a puppy, begging you to come have a picnic with him

And of course you agreed, he didn't even have to ask that much.

You did everything together. From choosing the place to which snacks you would take.

But you had to take the lead in the kitchen, as his cooking skills are questionable and somewhat dangerous.

Harbor guided you through a forest in the middle of nowhere and for quite some time, which honestly, if you didn't know where you were going, would make you suspicious of being the next victim of a serial killer.

Until you arrived at your destination: on the banks of a huge waterfall, with multiple falls and crystal clear water. It felt like a scene straight out of a fantasy movie and he knew it catched your eyes.

Perhaps Harbor used his power to make it more beautiful and voluminous, but you can't say for sure how he planned it all.

With everything set up and the food laid out on the tablecloth, it didn't take long for you to eat it all - you wasted a lot of energy walking over there.

If you're not afraid of water, after the meal, Harbor would invite you for a swim, taking advantage of the very cold water to get rid of the heat (and sweat) and have the opportunity to tease you, splashing water on your face with the help of the bracelet

If you're afraid of water, he won't force you to take a dip, leaving you on the shore while he bathes for a little while, then coming back close to interact with you - something he much prefers and teasing you by giving you hugs while he’s still soaking wet.

Viper wasn't too happy to see how you ended up getting the HQ corridors wet on your way to the dorms, though.

❝Omen:

Omen doesn’t go out a lot.

He’s really self conscious about his appearance

In fact, it was very difficult to you to convince him to go on a date in first place.

It was very difficult to maintain a relationship with him in first place

So you deserve a wave of claps for this achievements

He wants to please you but it’s almost impossible to go out like normal people and that frustrates him.

So in order not to make him so uncomfortable, you preferred to have a “picnic” in your room, where no one would see you two.

It was quite…exotic, like you two. There was no basket or tablecloth, in fact, almost nothing reminded of a picnic at all other than the two of you sitting on the floor eating snacks.

Can Omen drink or eat at all?

Anyway, you really liked your choice of sandwiches, fruits, cakes and juices.

It was a quiet, intimate moment of the two of you, sharing food mostly in silence, occasionally sharing nice and funny stories and short comments about what you were going through and that just felt right, comfortable.

Omen isn't very vocal or transparent about what he's feeling, but you know he likes you and liked your idea.

If he could smile, he would be grinning from ear to ear right now, knowing that you care about him so much that you decided to have a picnic inside a closed, dimly lit room just to make him happy.

❝Viper:

Viper likes luxury, a calm and controlled environment;

Her dates are usually in extremely fancy restaurants and she always makes sure to pay for everything, you just need to be there and enjoy.

So when you suggest you'd like a picnic date, out in the middle of nature, something super simple and basic, she's horrified.

You can see the desperation in those green eyes.

She doesn't know how to execute the idea and for someone as methodical as Sabine, it's like living in a nightmare.

Brimstone decided to help with suggestions and little by little she manages to come up with a plan that would work.

It had been a while since you had any news about the date and since she didn't seem to be very excited about the idea, you assumed that she gave up

Until she takes you to a park in downtown Seattle and there it is, under a large tree, on a red and white checkered towel, a little woven basket, full of homemade foods for the two of you to enjoy.

It may not look like it, but she cooks really well and she made all the dishes herself, including the beverages, all natural.

She wasn't very excited about the idea at first, but being there with you, getting some air and eating all that..she started to like it

The smile on her face and the laugh she let out every now and then, you haven't seen her so happy in a long time. The tension of having to prepare everything just melted away and she seemed content to enjoy it with you.

You were very grateful for the effort, giving her lots of thank you kisses afterwards;

She even liked breaking the routine...and receiving your kisses so lovingly.

❝Skye:

You and Skye had a way too big a heart. When the two of you were at her house, deep in the australian forest, it wasn't uncommon to care for sick wild animal, cubs mainly; it just worked, made you look like a enormous unusual family, full of furry children, and she loved that. But she would never try to rehabilitate any animal at protocol headquarters, because ou two had very busy schedules and she didn't want any trouble with Brimstone.

You on the other hand didn't thought twice about picking up a kitten, so small and helpless, lying in a cardboard box on a crowded street you passed the last time you were in town.

So when she walked through the door, tired of the mission she just went through, and saw you with the feline in your arms, giving milk to the very hungry animal with a small baby bottle, she could just let out a sigh.

"Damn it, [y/n]"

"I can explain...! But first come and meet our baby, [k/n]"

She couldn't say no to the assignment, you both knew that. So she just accepted and started to come up with a way to concile the work in the Protocol and the care that such a young cat needed to have.

You really tried to be as discreet as possible, but within days Fade and Omen had already found out about [k/n] and were more than willing to help.

Skye's animals love the kitten, they spend hours just watching that tiny little thing, admiring it, taking care of it like guardians.

And not just them, but herself. As much as Skye maintains a certain façade, looking irritated, non stop complaining and lecturing about how you'll end up getting you two punished for being too kind, she has a twinkle in her eye and a huge smile on her face every time the kitten shows an improvement.

She absolutely loves this cat and she will try to convince you to stay with it. She even plans to get them used to a leash when it gets older so she can go on walks with them. Exercise buddies :D

Sage began to suspect something was up when she noticed the movement your room had been having for the past week and strange meowing noises in the middle of the night.

It didn't take long for her and Brimstone to connect the dots.

Despite the fear of what was to come, none of them really had the courage to punish you for [k/n], and since it's going to adotion soon, the kitty could stay a little longer.

Skye was so upset, hurt that she couldn't stay with the cat. She had so many plans and all this disappeared, even if you had never agreed to stay with it.

When the day arrived, it was hard to say goodbye, but you managed to go through it, together. And you knew that [K/N] would go to a good, love-filled family, they needed someone who gave them full attention.

Which did not prevent you from missing them.

After a day you were particularly sad, Skye decided to give you a gift, it was simple, but it was done with a lot of love.

A cat wooden totem, just like those of her animals; But this one was all yours, to keep you company and protect you while she is far away.

❝Jett:

It may not seem like it, but she loves cats

Like, a lot.

Whenever you go to Seoul, she drags you to these cat cafes and don't be impressed, because she knows the name of each of the cats by heart

Every time a cat shelter ad appears, she begs you to adopt one and every time you say no...and every time she gives you a few hours of cold shoulders.

So when she went to your room to see how you were after the last mission and saw a cat in your bed, she almost shouted with happiness.

"Sunwoo Han, no. We're not staying with it, I'll just take care of it until they're healed."

"But..but, [y/n]..!"

She loves to help you take care of the kitten, everything you need to do, she is already doing it without you needing to ask.

The cat loves her too, only Jett's presence seems to make them more cheerful.

She promised not to be attached, but the next day she had already named them [k/n] and bragged to the other duelists.

When you arrived in your bedroom and saw all those people around your bed, with toys, clothes, cat snacks and even a cat tower, petting the animal, it was very difficult not to lose your head.

"I'm sorry, [y/n], things ended up getting out of control..but [k/n] seems super happy."

Brimstone is not happy though.

What will the Protocol become if everyone doesn't care about the rules?

[K/N] would really have to leave.

You preferred to choose the future owner by yourself, try not to involve Jett at this stage so she wouldn't suffer.

All the other agents were sad too, they bought so much stuff for [k/n] and now they're gone.

At night, when you were getting ready for bed, she looked at you with those little puppy eyes and asked if the kitten was okay.

"I think so, honey. They're with your parents, they'll take care of it while we work."

"Wait a second..!"

When she realised what you did, she hugged you so strong for so long that she slept with her arms around you.

And now she has a cat waiting for her in South Korea...and you have an incredibly happy girlfriend.

❝Omen:

You have returned from your mission, Omen can sense your presence.

But you didn't go looking for him, stranger...

Teleporting to your room, he saw you tending to a kitten's wounds.

He doesn't ask you anything at first, just suggests that you take it to his room, which is already cat-proof while the two of you tidy up yours.

Omen's cat watches from afar, from a high cat tree, quiet as its owner, almost jealous of the attention the other one is getting from you and your boyfriend.

Eventually you tell him that you found the kitten dumped in a partially destroyed building, so badly hurt that you thought it wouldn't even make it to the base alive.

He doesn't mind helping with care, especially at night, when you're tired and he can't sleep

His body may not be very still, but his hands are insanely precise when he needs to use them - plenty of practice cutting bonsai branches.

Simply a sweetheart

No one takes care of a cat as well as he does.

He buys so many treats and wet foods, also its own cat tree (his cat doesnt like sharing)

By the time the cat is good for adoption he will be so chubby and pampered

Brimstone and Sage didn't care too much when they found out about the new HQ resident, Omen was less unstable and that's what matters, if it's going for adoption, just makes everything goes smoother.

He knows you're just temporary parents to it, but he can't help but knit its lots of clothes and even some yarn pets, it's so cute.

When you're on missions elsewhere, the ones that will take days, he makes a point of sending pictures of the two kittens wearing something silly. Makes you smile and he knows it.

The other agents have heard rumors about a new cat, but he will never talk about whether or not it exists, he knows everyone would be excited to see them and despite everything, [k/n] is still kind of sick. So he wants to be extra careful

Omen can't lie that he was a little upset when he had to say goodbye, but he knows that the cat is going to a home where it will have all the love and care in the world... and his cat was already bubbling over with jealousy, they need to be the center of attention for a while.

You've been friends with the Sparrows for as long as you can remember, it's like you're number 8 to them. But there is someone who considers you as number 1 in his heart, who considers you to be the cause of his palms sweating and butterflies forming in his stomach: Alphonso.

He's been feeding this crush on you for a while. It started small, inofensive even, thinking you were a nice and kind person for talking to him without caring about his increasingly deformed body, but it grew and grew and turned into a giant monster that haunts him every time your smile appears in his line of vision.

Ah, how he wanted to be handsome in those moments...at least have a normal face, something that could come close to your beauty so that you could see him as a crush. Why did he have to fall in love with you? Why did you have to be so nice? Was it pity?

As much as the brother tried to hide it from the rest of the family (without much success because everyone already knew), Jayme was the one who suffered the most, not only for having to hear about you 24/7 and being the third wheel when he invited you to the walks they two usually took alone, but also watching number 4 feel so bad about himself, like he wasn't worthy of your love while you obviously reciprocated.

She couldn't go on watching this quietly. That's why one night, after they got home and listened to a long monologue from Alphonso about how wonderful you are and how he wanted you to like him back, she issued her ultimatum, tired of neither of you ever taking action to confess.

"Man up just for once and talk with her, Alphonso. No one can take the two of you dying of love for each other but without taking the initiative."

He was quiet for a moment, watching his sister in disbelief at her words. Shocked that more people knew his "secret", only nodding, affirming what she had spoken. As much as he was scared to death of rejection, if Jayme said that you liked him too, he had to at least try and talk with you.
