Someone at my work keeps joking that they just need to clone me so we’ll have full coverage and I’m honestly offended on behalf of my clone at the idea she’s be brought into this world just so she could work. If I get cloned, first off we are unionizing

A personal favorite dynamic of mine is ‘I would die for you’ and ‘Die? Who said you could die!? No! I will drag you back from the afterlife my self!’. Like yes the ‘I’d die for you’ energy is great, but when the other person responds with basically a ‘like hell you will!’ It’s probably one of my favorite things.

cosima + sarah + c!
Cosima + Sarah - A moment's respite
The stairs echo with the familiar thud of Sarah’s boots as she descends into the basement of the comic shop. By the time she’s at the bottom, Cosima has already crossed the room and is pulling her into a tight hug.
“Hey,” Sarah says, muffled by Cosima’s sweater. “What’s this for?”
“I just need it,” Cosima admits. “And I get the feeling you do too.”
Sarah says nothing, but her arms tightening around Cosima’s back are answer enough. When she finally pulls away, there are tears in her eyes.
“I fucked up, Cos.”
Cosima shakes her head.
“We both did. But we can’t let that break us, okay?” she says, and it’s as much of a plea to herself as it is to Sarah. She reaches down and takes her hand, dry and cracked.
“We should have been there for each other.”
“No,” Sarah says, laughing bitterly. “I would’ve been no help to anyone. I was… too far gone. I saw Beth.”
“You what? Hey, come sit down, alright?” Cosima says, practically dragging Sarah to the couch before settling in beside her.
“I saw her,” Sarah continues. “I talked to her. She was as real as anythin’. And it’s not the first time.”
“Jesus, Sarah, that’s…” Cosima pauses, takes in a breath. “I still think about her too. There was so much we didn’t know, everything she carried alone just trying to protect us.”
She places a hand on Sarah’s arm, squeezing firmly. Sarah looks up and meets her eyes.
“I see her in you sometimes,” Cosima continues. “And that scares the shit out of me. I can’t let what happened to her happen to you. I can’t do this without you."
“I’m sorry,” Sarah chokes out from somewhere deep inside her, and Cosima recognizes the pain and the desperation and regret in her voice, because they are all a part of her too.
“Hey,” Cosima says softly, wrapping her arms around Sarah again. “You’re alright.”
“I don’t know what I’m doin’, Cos.”
“You think I do?” Cosima laughs. “I didn’t know how to help Beth, I didn’t know how to fight DYAD, I didn’t know what to do when I got sick… And when everything happened the other night, I just fell apart. I should never have believed Delphine was gone, but I was already too broken to fight it. We’re not built for this. None of us are. We were dealt a shitty hand, and we’re all just fighting to survive.”
She pulls back from Sarah and flashes her a warm smile.
“But if there’s one thing Sarah Manning knows, it’s how to fight, right?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Sarah grumbles, but she can’t help returning the smile.
“So, come on,” Cosima says, rising to her feet. “We need a plan. Ready to get to work?”
“Ugh,” Sarah groans. “Get me a coffee, and then we’ll talk.”
“I’ll see what I can do.”
“Thank you,” Sarah says, and Cosima knows it’s about more than just the coffee.
“We’re with you, sestra,” Cosima says. “Don’t forget, okay?”
Sarah reaches out to give Cosima’s hand a gentle squeeze before sinking back into the couch. Cosima smiles down at her, then turns and heads for the kitchen.

With the holidays coming up, an important reminder: do not get your partner a new partner without discussing it with them first. You may think that this might make a cute gift, when the new one is all bundled up under the Christmas tree, but actually, a new partner in your polycule is a big responsibility and should not be taken lightly. Otherwise after the holidays, the new one just gets pounded and then quickly forgotten

Helena and Cosima, n.
Helena + Cosima - N. The color green.
“Hurry up, slowpokes,” Helena shouts back. She’s about 20 feet ahead at this point, and that number is only growing.
Cosima exhales sharply through her nose and drives her makeshift walking stick into the dirt, pushing herself forward. She’s only just been cleared for exercise now that the last remnants of the illness have left her body, and unfortunately, it was Helena who volunteered to take her on an inaugural hike.
She breathes in. The air feels like knives in her lungs. Shit. It’s cold. Fuck.
“Did I… tell you… about the time… I almost… froze to death?” she huffs.
“Yes,” Helena says, and she doesn’t have to shout this time. “Many times.”
A few more steps and Cosima closes the distance between them, throwing most of her weight into a body check. Helena stumbles forward before breaking into snorting laughter.
“Good,” she says. “You are stronger than you think.”
As they fall into step beside each other, Cosima braces for retaliation, but Helena throws an arm around her shoulder instead.
“I am glad you did not freeze to death,” she says.
“That’s… sweet, Helena. Thanks.”
Helena responds by laying her head on her shoulder. The warmth is nice, and Cosima finds herself leaning into it. It’s at this moment that Helena takes the opportunity to reach over and rip the walking stick out of her hand. She tears into the woods, laughing uncontrollably.
“Asshole,” Cosima mutters. She draws in a breath, then takes off after her.
