MEDUSAE is a painting from 2016. At first glance, it would appear to be a scene from the deep ocean. However, upon further examination, it might be a creature from outer space. I feel it's a little more oceanic than outer space; however, it has elements of both. MEDUSAE is one of my older artworks from before I started my SPACE PLANKTON paintings. My SPACE PLANKTON paintings are inspired by both the deep ocean and outer space. In MEDUSAE, the objects in the background seem to be galaxies, but maybe they are complex deep sea creatures?
Nightmares & Dreams have been a powerful part of my life since the first nightmare woke my child self. Here's an animated version of my painting, "NIGHTMARES AND DREAMS" ~ animator: Shiro Maru, @shiroartstudio ~ Sound file: To Pass Time by Godmode
Here’s something a little different. My newest painting is titled WATER LANGUAGE. Different because this is my first painting in over 10 years that has a blue sky. Water Language is a painting that signifies that language can be many things and communicated in many ways.
My CRUSTACEAPODS have come to life! With the help of master animator and sound engineer, Nilanka, @magicloopnft, the creatures in my painting CRUSTACEAPODS , (2008 ) can move in ways I've seen in my imagination. Now I can finally see my creations come alive with animated energy!

This is ANTAGONY, a painting from 2010. The title is derived from antagonism. There seems to be a lot of that going around. Are people more violent than they used to be? Or is it the negativity bias of the media that makes it seem that way? ~ https://linktr.ee/rsconnett
This is my painting SOMNAMBULANT from 2012. This animated version has been created by the outstanding animator, @m4wave. This painting is inspired by dreams, sleepwalking, and hypnagogia. (see previous post) I began sleepwalking when I was around 8. For that, my parents sent me to a shrink who taught me to remember my dreams. That was the beginning of my interest in dreams. ☠️
Here's something we've been working on. An animated version of my painting HYPNAGOGIA. Hypnagogia is the transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. During hypnagogia, it's common to experience involuntary and imagined experiences. These are referred to as hypnagogic hallucinations.
