Google universities/colleges near you.
If you can't get out to more than one, look up which one has the highest tuition.
Look-up when the graduation date is
Drive neighborhoods near the university the week before graduation
So much stuff gets left out on the curb. Wealthy college students tend to prioritize convenience over money, so instead of carefully reselling their perfectly good stuff, they frequently give it away or put it out with the trash because that's easier than moving, reselling, or donating. Take advantage of this.
I furnished pretty much my entire apartment from college giveaways and yardsales.
What I got for free:
Mattress and box springs
2 10 ft area rugs
The massive 9-drawer chest (that has a label on the back that it was custom-made and shipped across the country) that my TV sits on.
Two 13 x 2 ft raised garden beds
My desk - just sanded it down and refinished it.
Three short stools
An organizer rack
Watering can
Tommy Bahama outdoor cooler (retails for $350)
Chairs
Shelves
What I got for cheap:
Two futons for $50
Custom coffee table with storage for $25
Three tall stools for $30

finding love is like. ohhhhh. it all makes sense again. this is probably why love is one of the answers, it organizes your heuristics in a direction aimed toward hopeful futures. hoping is like a muscle in need of exercise. loving is like growing a new skin, and having to adjust to the new sensory organ's powers. reciprocated love hits differently because the skin gets to grow more and more layers over time without being ripped or burnt off to reveal the metal layers again. like the combat doll artifacts the tech wizards bring to the Wizard Colosseum. I don't know how those work exactly, my wizard studies are just homunculi & abstract conditional arrays so far and I just started getting some results at alchemy

I read this bdsm story where the sub was told to roll some dice and the they'd have a reward of punishment based on the number rolled, right? Not that weird of a premise for this sort of thing.
EXCEPT they used two d6s! And I am too much of a tabletop gamer to let that shit slide.
That's not how you do it! You roll a d12 or something so that each possibility has a roughly equal likelyhood.
But 2d6 and 1d12 have completely different probability curves! Look, here's a meme:
See? The punishment/reward most likely is gonna be the one at 7.
Although, I mean... I guess you could argue that this let's you weight the results? Like make 2 and 12 the biggest punishment/reward, so they only rarely roll, whereas smaller punishments/rewards around 7 are more likely.
But I don't know. It seems you'd want to explain that if you did.
Ugh. Another bdsm scenario ruined by unrealistic statistics.
