I am very normal and not at all emotional about finding out that, even after 1200 years and in spite of everything, Alesha is remembered as a hero and remains part of the cultural fiber of her clan. That she's such a fundamentally important figure to trans people in her culture that, even after all this time, other trans people still go out of their way associate themselves with her. Yes. hey! URL change and new MTG blog time

hello! if you are reading this, you are perhaps a longtime mutual of a Magic: the Gathering blog I had, originally with the url “commander-mtg”. If this is the case, I see you !!! I know who you are :D If this isn’t the case, welcome all the same. (and If you know me irl, respect my cringe haha). 

I arrived to tumblr like any other person with wifi in 2013. I was a closeted tween on the East Coast who wanted to be nerdy on a weird app. My fandoms weren’t Doctor Who or Supernatural, but the aforementioned Magic the Gathering and Legend of Korra. At the time, I was a flamboyant yet shy tween struggling with the common insecurities of that age. This definitely translated to my online presence here, and my social medias in general. I was largely an observer, not a creator. 

Since then I’ve become an extremely extroverted creative gay man in college with a lot of things I want to write down and make. (I’m headed to grad school this fall for art history.) In order to heal my inner child, I figured I should finally SHARE my art, music, and thoughts with others. I especially wanted to start engaging with the hobbies I denied myself participation in out of displaced shame. 

My reddit and instagram are too focused on other fandoms at this point, and still too normie, so to satisfy my current magic the gathering itch and my creative urges I figured id come back to Tumblr. This time, however, I promise to start creating and actually using my blog. I’ll primarily be posting magic stuff, but im sure ill just do whatever interests I’m having, and things I find funny or important.

Darth Maul is just the funniest Star Wars character to me. Like. There was this one-off villain with no personality, one incredible fight scene, one of the objectively stupidest names in all of Star Wars (which, y’know, is an achievment) and one of the coolest villain designs ever put to film.
