If Lyle hadn't gotten wrapped up in a shady government spy program as a kid I fully believe he would be running one of those youtube channels where they do really weird and/or dangerous science experiments for the hell of it, like Nile Red or something like that.
He would be turning plastic gloves into grape soda and playing with bromine for fun.
I have once again updated the family tree, as per yesterday's question. It'll probably be out of date come July.
There might be two different versions of Kajz, with one being Pran's son and the other being Lyrl's. I’ve chosen to equate them because there’s no proof that they’re not the same person.
Brainiac had an infant child in Forever Evil. It may have been Vril or Techne or may not be canon anymore.
Brainiac 6 has only ever been mentioned in conjunction with Indigo's backstory. We know nothing about them and it's entirely possible they're not even related to the others.
Brainiacs 12 and 13 are just versions of Brainiac.
Brainiac 417 because who knows what DC One Million is connected to.
It’s unclear whether how and if the unknown Earth-Prime woman is actually related to Querl, but it's heavily implied she's his mother.
I do think the neurodivergent coding Brainy's always had throughout his different iterations is interesting. in most medias, Brainy is so othered and different even by Coluan standards. Telepaths even say his mind isn't built like a normal coluan's. it's such an interesting aspect of his character, that there is truly no one else who's like him
the brainiac family is the best dc family bc they are a bunch of super geniuses who pride themselves on being above it all but 75% of the time when they have beef all maturity goes out the window. lets beat grandpa with sticks
I think that I get why people like the "All of Smallville knows Clark Kent is secretly Superboy/Superman" because it's all wholesome and fun or whatever but I think it misses the fundamental isolation at the heart of Superman as a character...
Like Kal having to hide a massive element of who he is for his entire life is a vital element of the character and ignoring that is harmful to the character. He does in fact have emotional struggles and dark elements and pretending he doesn't... makes him boring?
Why do people hate Bendis? <- asked by someone who only ever has read his writing from YJ
Something something Spiderman something something Jon Kent age-up something something was allegedly rude back to rude people on Twitter something something
Check my Patreon out if you’d like to support the comic, even a little bit helps. Or just to check out the reward tiers, there’s some neat bonus stuff and I tried to make them fun: https://www.patreon.com/waitingforthet
it’s actually decently substantial but most of its members are in their 50s & 60s atp and tend to post on legion dedicated forums rather than places like tumblr or twitter.
i mean, interlac is still being printed after nearly 50 years. this is just a fandom that pre-dates the internet.
