READING THE SPREAD

Childhood

This trio reveals your sex in your past life, your temperament as a child, and your family’s financial situation in your early years.

Young Adulthood

These cards unveil your personality and perspective from the age of 13 to 28 — the rite of passage into astrological adulthood, your first Saturn Return.

Adulthood

These cards speak of your psyche, status and life story for most of your adult years, until your mid-50s.

Mature Age

I spent two weeks wondering what font was better lol. Here’s my second installment to my thesis work... my best art piece yet. Enjoy. Each is paired with a poem.

“Now I walk through fanciful worlds. This is my culture too and I’ve found peace. I can be myself here. My ancestors had backs beat for freedom and here I am free. I feel pretty in make up and hair that is colorful and free. I can be whoever I want to be. Here in this animated world I represent my beautiful brown sistahs and the many possibilities we can explore and achieve. We are still bound and chained by stereotypes and working to bust down ancient barriers. Fighting similar battles of our forefathers and foremothers. Tik Tok... I dance to a high beat in a frilly dress. A princess or a unicorn. I can be as hyperreal as I wanna be. Can you hear that? That’s my own beat. I created my own seat. See this is my anime... animated world created just for me. I could play dress up and be like someone on tv. I could create a new place and a new version of me. My people get shot down in the streets and somehow to stay sane. To feel seen we dress up. Lose our identities to become faeries or warriors. We add our own spin to old and new characters and paint the worlds brown and black like our skin! In the mother land we would dress up like elders, imitate the Gods and Goddesses in our masquerades. Now we adorn ourselves in whoever’s image we chose to be. History repeats itself in a viscous and soothing cycle. We may have lost our way but somethings remain engrained in us.”
