i only like 5 songs of the WHOLE album. yes i did listen. and by like i mean i wouldn't neccesarily mind listening to them again. the album is good but there's just something lackluster about it for me. idk man.

Yeah I think there was 4-5 songs that I liked including as it was. I think there’s a few things are not clicking cohesively for me and then the lyrics are ~meh~ This is not the deep honest album he talked about in that interview

This might be an unpopular opinion but like it’s giving I need to release an album now so I can renegotiate my contract to get more money.

Do we think this album is 'rushed' because he was busy doing films or is he just finishing off his record deal before he renews with maybe another record label? It seems to fall down a lot in comparison to Fine Line.

I don’t think rushed is the right word but it doesn’t feel cohesive for sure. I think part of that might be that it was written over 2 years in 2 different environments (quarantine covid and whatever he did afterwards). I’d say there are like 3 songs that sound very similar. Also the thing that throws me off is that lyrically it’s not good, like it’s very repetitive and the lyrics feel empty/hollow

I think a few more listens and it will be better but I’ll probs wait for the release to do a deep listen dive

Overall doesn’t seem like it’s going to be better then his first two. I do like Mathilde and Love of my Life but a lot of the songs lyrically aren’t great, they’re all very repetitive. The sushi ones ok but it sounds like it fits better in fine line then this album

I think he’s taking the owner/director approach whereas he’s removed and will use others as the face. Not unlike his buddy Alessandro does with what he creates. Agree it’s weird, but then so is Harry. He’s hell bent on this mysterious persona and this just follows suit.

If he wants to take the artistic director route for this whole venture that’s fine but like it feels so disconnected from the dazed article where he wrote all about how this collection was for the fans, like?? Is Mick Fleetwood really for the fans? Did the fans ask to release another white looking nail polish after the last one?

I would bet money that Harry uses none of the products aside from maybe the nail polish and even his nail tech says he uses Essie or whatever like why make a $20 nail polish when he uses one that’s like $7 at the drug store. It’s a money grab, that’s all it is and at some point, if he continues releasing the same stuff, people are going to stop buying (nobody needs more of the same color nail polish they probs have at home).

If Harry’s name wasn’t on the brand nobody would buy it, but unless he actively works to connect it to him for the GP, nobody outside his fans will care long term. The only celebrity makeup ventures that really do well long term are those were the celebrity are 200% invested in the brand (rare beauty, KKW cosmetics and Fenty) other brands like Ariana’s REM or Halsey’s About Face and Harry’s Pleasing because they aren’t invested in their product enough and frankly are inventing or filling a whole in the market.

Hi stranger! I’ll be honest I haven’t seen anything about my policeman in a hot minute, but I think that the film itself won’t be a problem (unfortunately the gp just doesn’t care as long as Harry’s in it) but I do think he’s going to have to get some serious media training/coaching because he’s going to be asked about his sexuality a lot because he’s the only not opening queer/gay main actor so I think he’s going to have a really tough time getting around that.

As for pleasing, listen I’ve always thought the whole thing was just a money grab to try and get fans to buy more of his stuff and the fact that it feels like every release is “limited edition”, making people feel obligated/like they need to buy it kind of proves my point. If this was a brand he was truly passionate about there would be a much more clear promotional tactic and not just or boxes to friends and a truck in LA. Do I think it will sell out? Probably cause Harry fans would buy a used tissue if they knew Harry used it but it’s not a very sustainable way to get your product to the larger public outside of fans. Overall I don’t like it as a brand and I think it’s stupid and over price but that’s just me so if y’all like it more power to ya
