TIRED BOYS! 😴👉👈
-The three will sometimes sleep separately- since Kokichi kicks a lot.
-But, they’ve got a huge bed for times when everyone’s feeling more tolerable.
-Shuichi and Kokichi fight over who’s in the middle 🥺💕
-“B-But, you got Kaito Cuddles last night!”
-Kaito goes on strange, mumbled rants in his sleep.. 👀 sometimes it’s clear enough for Kokichi and Shuichi to listen in.
-Kaito is always embarrassed when the pair recall his dreams in the morning 😳
-Shuichi’s dreams are.. not as pleasant. He often stirs from nightmares; ranging from a brief, startling disturbance to a full-blown panic attack.
-Kaito and Kokichi are highly skilled at soothing The Detective 😔💕
-Kaito knows how to calm Shuichi, what to say- whereas Kokichi is more there for comfort, rubbing his back, touching his hair.
-Kokichi has spells where he’ll neglect sleep for days, or is extremly restless.
-“Psst.”
-“Kaito.. ‘you awake?”
-“Kokichi.. it’s 3AM.”
-Quite opposite to Kaito and Shuichi, who take frequent naps on the couch.
BONUS!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
-Kaito has THE BEST bedtime stories.
-There’s little, glow-in-the-dark stars stuck up above their bed.. Kokichi likes counting them before sleeping.
-Shuichi likes sleeping under a weighted blanket 🥰 it makes him feel safe.

SHUICHI AND KOKICHI SHARE A FUNIMATION!🥰
-Shuichi pays, Kokichi uses it.. welcome to Simp Nation, Shu.
-Kokichi’s a Dub person, whereas Shuichi prefers Sub. Though, he’s passive about it- unless the Dub is terrible.
-Shuichi loves sad Slice Of Life’s: Clannad, Angel Beats, Your Lie In April.. 😔✌️
-Kokichi is a big fan of Horror: Junji Ito, Tokyo Ghoul, Corpse Party.
-They’re ALWAYS singing random theme songs.. Shuichi’ll be muttering one under his breath, Kokichi joining and just full on belting it out🥺💕
-“Shumai! What’s the password again? I gotta login on my laptop.”
-The Two rewatch favorites often, resulting in many memorized lines to quote.
-Shuichi binge watches- but Kokichi can’t sit still long enough for it.
-Kokichi falls for characters so easily.. ranting to Shu about them relentlessly. Shuichi doesn’t mind, though, stating it’s ‘adorable how passionate he is’.
-“Hey! You started ____ without me?!”
-Shuichi often reads the Manga first, so he’ll know what’s going to happen- teasing Kokichi about it.
-Hands down, their favorite anime is Assassination Classroom. It’s equal-parts action and slow-pace, with a good laugh mixed in. Plus.. both love Karma a little too much.

(THIRD PERSON)
Shuichi listens half-heatedly as the Monokubs blabber relentlessly- about subjects completely unrelated to the nighttime announcement, no less. He sighs, relived once the staticky message ends with a few small chimes.
The Blunette stands, placing a purely white mug down atop the dining hall table. Shuichi will surely miss that sweet tasting tea, though he supposes heading back to his dorm is the safest option.
Shuichi had expected a quiet, undisturbed walk down the vine-covered hallways; assuming his fellow Ultimates returned to their rooms. But, what he recived was more chaotic than relaxing.
“Hey, hey! Saihara! Whatcha up to, huh? Prowling around the halls.. so late, no less. You gave me quite the scare.”
A not-so pleasant surprise greeted Shuichi that night; Kokichi Oma, overdramatic as always.
“Oh.. s-sorry, I guess-“
“-No! You misunderstand me... and you’re supposed to be a detective!” Kokichi giggles, signature laugh bouncing around the room. Shuichi just blinks, unable to reply.
“I was actually hoping to run into you!” Kokichi exclaims, smiling brightly with a thumbs up proudly displayed. Shuichi quirks an eyebrow, somewhat suspicious of the purple-haired male.
“R-Really-?”
“-Nope! That was a lie.. though, I’m not particularity bothered to have seen you, Shuichi.”
Shuichi swallows, suddenly overwhelmed by Kokichi’s genuine tone and the use of his first name. He might’ve even been blushing, because Kokichi’s intent expression becomes impure with mischief.
“Oops! I’m being unusual, aren’t I? ‘Must be, ‘cause you’re bright red!” Kokichi jokes, only intensifying Shuichi’s embarrassment. He looks away, attempting to conceal his face from The Supreme Leader.
“Anyways... what are you doing, Kokichi? Shouldn’t you be going that way?” Shuichi asks, motioning behind Kokichi with a flick of his wrist. Kokichi turns his head, glancing down the hall he’d come out of with a shrug.
“Well, that doesn’t matter.. y’know, ‘cause we’re hanging out now!” Kokichi grins, taking Shuichi’s hand. Shuichi flushes, feeling Kokichi interlock their fingers.
“What? Really?” Shuichi inquires, in disbelief. Kokichi drags Shuichi behind him, nodding happily.
“Mhm! C’mon! Let’s go to your room, Shumai!” Kokichi announces, leading the pair outside.
“S-Shumai..? Where’d that nickname come from?” Shuichi questions, nervousness only further intensifying whilst awaiting Kokichi’s answer.
Though, The Detective doesn’t earn one- Shuichi is met with giggle filled silence. He just hopes Kokichi has good intentions, knowing the Supreme Leader could potentially murder him.
“Unlock the door.”
Shuichi hesitates.
“Kokichi...”
“Trust me, Shuichi.”
Kokichi pushes Shuichi back, The Blunette falling back onto his bed. He attempts to speak, though the words are trapped in his throat. Kokichi is atop The Detective, pinning him down, smirking.
“Hm... this is just like a couple days ago, huh? When you were unconscious.. I was so worried, Shuichi. How could you do that?”
“I... I don’t know.”
“Oh, hush- say you’re sorry.”
But, before Shuichi could apologize, Kokichi presses his thin lips against Shuichi’s own. Shuichi’s eyes widen, emotions wrecking themselves, tangling his stomach into a knot.
Kokichi breaks it.
“What was that?” Shuichi pants, incredibly disturbed, scared. Kokichi sits back, giving Shuichi more space.
“I don’t know, ‘figured I wouldn’t forgive you with just an apology,” Kokichi says, far too casually. Shuichi has finally caught his ragged breath, cheeks still considerably pink.
“Well? How was it?” Kokichi wonders, reminding a dazed Shuichi of what had just occurred. He touches a finger to his trembling lips, feeling them tingle.
“I... I don’t understand..” Shuichi mumbles, swallowing. Kokichi giggles, blushing a little, himself.
“What I’m asking is.. can I kiss you again?”
(A/N): PT2? 😳

(THIRD PERSON)
Kaito’s brain feels.. like it’s lagging.
Upon looking up, his surroundings drag into a muddled, indecipherable scene. He sighs, letting sunken, tired eyes resign themselves to blackness.
“Kaito? Are.. Are you ok?”
Shuichi’s voice intercepts Kaito’s sluggish thoughts, The Astronaut peeling open his eyelids. Shuichi is staring at The Male, frowning worriedly, ahoge dipping.
“Ah.. Shuichi, y.. yes. ‘Just didn’t get.. a ‘great’ sleep..” Kaito mumbles, chuckling dryly, forcing a small smile. Shuichi parts his lips, wanting to protest- but he stops.
“...Right,” Shuichi excuses, glancing downwards at his plate, then upwards once more.
Stifling guilt from lying to Shuichi, Kaito drowns out The Dining Hall’s buzzing noise, focusing on his aching lungs.
It’s getting worse.
Shuichi is noticing- and, it’s no surprise.
He’s A Detective.
As if out of nowhere, The Ultimates are dispersing, having finished breakfast- and Kaito doesn’t move a single muscle.. he can’t.
It all aches, his throat, mind. Thick, hot beads of sweat roll down his forehead. There’s a shrill pain in his chest after each shaking breath, and a ringing in his ears.
“Kaito?” Shuichi asks, because something was off- he just didn’t know what. It hurt, being so clueless- not because he’s A Detective, but because of his feelings for The Male.
“..What’s up, Shuii? You.. can go on ahead, bro. I’m.. going to.. finish breakfast alone, ok?”
“N-No.. I’ll sit with you-“
“-Shuichi... please.”
The desperation in Kaito’s eyes.. it was almost unbreable, almost unrefutable. But, Shuichi knew he’s gotta be The One to ask- or else, no one will.
“What’s going on, Kaito? Y-You claim to be ‘finishing breakfast,’ and yet- your entire plate it untouched.. this is just.. so unlike you.”
Kaito stands, having sought out strength buried beneath layers of nervousness. He had to leave, escape Shuichi’s questioning, concerns. It was too difficult, talking out of his ass- desperately trying to prevent Shuichi from discovering ‘it’.
“I’m sick, alright? Cold, or ‘some shit- I don’t know. Can you just.. stop bugging me about it?”
Shuichi blinks.
Tears are brimming in his eyes.
“I.. won’t. I’m seeing this through, Kaito. Because that’s what you’ve always told me to do, right?”
“So? What is it? What’s put that look on your face?”
Kaito was going to answer- really, he had the words tipping his tongue. But, he didn’t have time.
Horrendous, seething coughs scrape Kaito’s throat raw, tearing from his trembling lips. Blood follows quickly, a substance he catches in a shaking palm.
“Kaito!” Shuichi rushes towards The Male, shock written plainly across his face, watching the scene unfold.
“I.. I don’t understand.. What’s wrong?” Shuichi asks, tears beginning to trickle down his cheeks. Kaito just stares Shuichi, a feeling of dread he’d never experienced waving over him.
“H-Hey.. why are you crying?” Kaito says, voice hoarse. Shuichi doesn’t respond, small whimpers now leaving his lips.
“Stop it.. it won’t help anything.. it’s just making me sad.” Shuichi cries harder, such a miserable mess before Kaito- that he can’t help it.
Kaito wraps The Smaller in his tight embrace, Shuichi’s head resting against Kaito’s chest.
“See? Listen to that.. my hearts beating. I’m ok, Shuii.. you’re ok.”
