Wizards, in concept, are really weird.
Imagine, if you will, a world governed by gods, where extra dimensional entities have great magical powers, where the power of your emotions and convictions lend you dominion over the world, where nature itself has a life that shapes the world.
And you got this guy. He doesn't worship a god, doesn't have artistic talent, didn't make any exchange for power, he wasnt born magic.
As a complete outsider to the realm of magic, he decided to brute force it, like poking at the nerve endings of the world and taking notes on what happened.
Thats why i think wizardry in a world like dnd would be considered extremely weird

if a characters name is just a word related to their powers or job then they are transgender. because obviously their parents wouldnt know that information the second theyre born so how would they have those names. its because they named themselves
