Golden Earring - The Notorious Videos, LaserDisc™️ MusicVideo, ©️1984
[When Golden Earring's "The Twilight Zone" video hit the air in late 1982, it was a revelation - could the Dutch group that gave us the 1974 Top 5 hit "Radar Love" return as leaders of the musicvideo revolution? The answer proved yes. "The Twilight Zone" record went Top 10, propelled by its dramatic, sexy and entertaining video. And yet North America and much of the world never saw the video in its original, unexpurgated, European form.
Here, then, released for the first time, is the original "Twilight Zone," plus two other masterpieces by its director Dick Maas (known in Europe for his hit feature "The Lift"), the award-winning and controversial "When The Lady Smiles" and "Clear Night Moonlight." These, too, had to be sanitized for North American television and are presented on this LaserDisc™️ in their original, glorious states. Altogether, this collection is classic and essential.
Contains adult oriented material, parental discretion advised.]

Quadrophenia, LaserDisc, ©️1983
[The passions of British street kids, circa 1964, explode in this compelling adaptation of The Who’s classic rock opera. A hard-hitting look at youth at the dawn of punk. Quadrophenia introduces one of rock’s newest idols, Sting of The Police. “Schizophrenic? I’m bleedin’ quadrophenic!” explains Jimmy (Phil Daniels), a restless teenager who’s bored with his job and fed up with his parents. Hoping to find himself, he joins the Mods, a gang of scooter-riding, pill-popping dandies. Their invasion of a seaside resort ends in fierce street fighting with their leather-jacketed arch-enemies, the Rockers - and, for Jimmy, a raw sexual encounter with Steph (Leslie Ash). But disenchantment with his idol, Ace (Sting), leads Jimmy to question his new mates and even his own sanity. Startling images, timeless human drama and inspired music by The Who’s Pete Townshend transform Jimmy’s personal adventure into a powerful, provocative film.]
