Hi. It's been a minute. Or two. Or three.

This will be a lengthy and definitely dramatic post, but for me, this is the official goodbye that I didn't do before. I'm not sure who this will reach, but if you're new here, you likely do not know me. but maybe youll read this through because you need a wake up call about social media. But if you do recognize this name and profile picture, we need a restart.

I am Roonie, was also known as Vickeroonie. I was a Ranboo enthusiast and Ranboo artist on Twitter, but I deactivated my account. Permanently. (No, this is not my coming back to the internet post. Sorry.)

I felt that I am ready to finally talk about why I suddenly left, and there's 2 reasons for that.

1. Mental health.

I remember the day that I realized that the platform I made myself was slowly rotting me inside out. I just got burnt out. Burn out was a thing that I had struggled with constantly with my time on social media, and I felt the constant need to make and post art to my followers. I was afraid of seeing that follower count drop. Which if you (yes, you) relate to that fear, take a break. Take a step back. Whether thats 2 days, a week, a month, or even just 2 hours. Turn off notifications, and come back later.

2. The outside world. (Touch grass. It's healthy.)

I spent so much time on my phone and on the internet to the point where I'd separate myself from the people who are most important to me. My family, best friends, even my pets. I put myself in a box that I locked myself in. I thought I had found closure and people to relate to online, (which I did. I miss some of you, friends.) But at the same time, I realized i put myself on display. The amount of hours I'd spend scrolling through comments about me, or what I posted, and how'd I'd be on the edge of my seat hoping that no one had something bad to say about me was a constant thing in the back of my head. That's not healthy. At all.

So, I deleted everything. When I say deleted, I mean, deactivate what I could, and stay as far away as I can from that app.

You can't erase everything you post, and you have to make ammends with that. My stuff will always be out there somehow. I'm okay with that.

So to wrap this all up with a bow on top, I am happy now. I've been so much happier and healthier from this decision I made and I dont regret not one bit. This whole post is definitely dramatic, but I'll think of it as an official goodbye from Roonie, to the internet. It was a great run :)
