If you're the type of person who thinks shipping discourse is stupid and 'both' sides need to 'touch grass' I truly don't think that you're grasping the situation. I agree with you, shipping discourse is stupid. It shouldn't be a big deal. But the reality of things is that there are entire communities out there who will threaten you, doxx you, send you graphic and triggering anons or DMs, and other vile shit, for shipping something they don't like. People are being severely harassed. It is only reasonable they feel the need to be more vocal about being a safe person, aka 'proship'. Proship is a reaction to serious hate and threats. And on the less vulgar side, there are terms like ridiculous, nonsense, train wreck, pointless, insipid, self-absorbed, pretentious, annoying, boring, contemptible, vile, and disgusting.

Substituting words like restarted, poptarted, brain damaged, smoothbrain, etc. is still ableist, because either 1. you obviously still mean the r-word, or 2. you're still using disability as an insult.
