Because of convenience, students tend to choose fastfood chains because its scattered everywhere and its within their budget. We usually wouldn't mind if we ate the same meal almost everyday so long as we feel full. That's the sad part about our eating habits. Just because we feel full doesn't mean we got what we needed. If only we have easy access to other food groups as well instead of just mwat and sweets. #dreaming #whyuniversitieswhy

Around where I live, small restaurants are so popular you could find one at every corner. Places like hungry heroes, sabroso and preds are even featured on tv because of its popularity. Most of them (though having different themes) have the same meñu like milkshakes, nachos and burgers. Rare would you find anything else other than that and I do understand that because of people's preference, businesses would choose that kind of meals to sell but what if we tried to post what exactly is inside what their eating, the fat, the carbs and the proteins just so they know if they're getting enough (or maybe too much). Would people still buy as frequently if they knew just how much what they have in their hands is more than just a mouthful?

Me and my family had a mini get-together and decided to go on a buffet. My cousins and I hit the desserts even before checking anything else. We wandered off and came back to our table one by one and looked at each other's choices. I noticed quickly that we all had the same choices only slightly deviating from our main dishes and the amount of serving we had was huge (even the guys couln't finish everything) and I just couldn't bear the thought that we had to throw whats left on our plates so I stuffed myself as much as I can. Although this kind of setting is so popular in the philippines it also reflects our eating habits and the waste we produce everyday when millions are starving outside...

Sad to say i wasn't able to take a picture of the food (it was chicken adobo; my friends ate it before i could get my camera) but im so happy to eat with them and share a little bit of my own knowledge with them as how much we should prepare and eat :) us filipinos have this tendency to cook and eat everything we can when there's a celebration and though its fun we should also mind about the food waste this could cause and the caloric intake it would give for the rest of the day :)

Since we're nurses we teach people to start eating healthy but we wouldn't be able to teach them if we don't practice it ourselves :)

I was once invited to my friend's debut and this table caught my attention. Right in the center is the chocolate fountain surrounded by all the sweets i could imagine and right beside it is an assortment of vegetables perfect for a salad. The irony of this two types of food in one table made me think which of which would win if ever people were to choose between the two. Obviously the candies would win for a youngsters but if we would allow them to try different kinds of tastes other than sweets then we could teach them to eat a wide variety of food :)

Went on an early morning road trip with my cousins and its just so sad to think that we had to skip breakfast to get to our destination only to find ourselves eating fastfood at 6am as our pitstop. What we didnt realize is that we couldve had a much better meal at home and we'd still be together but instead we did whatever was convenient without thinking about our health and the possible consequences...

Our group's pinakbet for elderlies :) basing it on our client's caloric needs, diet and preferences we came up with this dish for dinner and commend it for its nutrients, carb and proteins :D (p.s. milk was the preferred drink for dinner because it helps to sleep better) #10pointstoNURSING #mealplanning

Day 1: Why am I really doing this? What am I trying to prove?
I’m not trying to say that we have to stop eating meat because meat also contributes to the necessary nutrients we need. I’m just saying that we don’t always get what we deserve. If you’re lucky, you get to eat three full meals a day and probably have snacks in between but how much of these contain the vitamins and minerals we need per day?
