Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.

Another AO3 app that's pretending to be official when it's not (or at least isn't making it clear its unofficial.) They're using AO3's name and logo, and embedding ads.
There is no official AO3 app
Someone else is gathering your data, potentially your log in information etc and making use of it how they please. (They say they're not but their privacy policy says otherwise)
They are making money from the ads without the fic writer's consent.
They've also rated it Pegi 3 (which is ludicrous)
Please, even if you care about nothing else, for the safety of your data, please don't use this app. Certainly don't give it your AO3 log in details.
I've told AO3 that it's infringing on its copyright. I will be requesting they remove access of my work as I do not consent to my creative content being used to generate ad revenue for them.
I will be reporting it as incorrectly rated.
The only email address I can find is [email protected] which is included in their privacy policy, and [email protected] as their developer.

@rascalentertainments If you're wondering where star is, well…let's just say I asked forced him nicely to get into a bag to make the oufit, you were right when you said he has a LOT of energy…so much energy that I ended up crashing into a tree 😅

Ok yeah I am still stuck on Wish and ... OK I feel the movie would've been a lot stronger if they made Magnifico and Asha foils of each other by going the inverse Princess and the Frog route?
What I mean is, one of the core aspects of PatF is that Tiana is so concentrated on her goals and working hard to get them, that she forgot about the smaller joys in life, and she forgot about wishing upon a star - ie child like wonder and magic. You need both - as her Daddy says:
Yes, you wish and you dream with all your little heart. But you remember, Tiana, that old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help him with some hard work of your own. And then... Yeah, you can do anything you set you mind to.
And that... is actually a core of a LOT of old Disney Wishing Upon a Star scenes. Cinderella did EVERYTHING to make her dream of a fun night out a reality - she worked hard, finished her chores, tried everything in her power to finish her dress, and only at her lowest point she gets her Fairy Godmother to help. Same with Geppetto - he worked all his life and had his heart full of love and so he went all the way he could by creating Pinocchio - and THEN the Wishing star appeared. Impossible dreams of people who worked hard seem to be the Wishing Star's specialty.
Magnifico in Wish is explicitly the ANTITHESIS of that idea. He is Facilier offering Tiana her dream - he offers the easy way out, because making your wish come true is HARD. So I feel like the movie Really should've played harder on that. Make it more explicit, make Magnifico play harder on the fact that he is the easy way out, and that the wishes he offers are all smoke and shadows. Want to be a musician, bam you can play any instruments. Want to be a seamstress, bam you are Edna. But it's empy because you didn't put the work in, you just waited for someone to give it to you. Both the waiting and the granting are meaningless.
By contrast, play harder on Asha believing the town deserve to know and have their wishes back, because they DESERVE to make them real themselves. Make her oppose Magnifico because she realises that the pursuit of one's dream is as important as the wish itself. That the people ARE all stars, with the power of making wishes a reality. And when it's an impossible dream, then Star and Asha can give a little magic help (She literally says that Star can't grant wishes but can HELP to make them a reality. It's already all there!!!). Just. Have Asha and Magnifico be foils and don't make Asha basically a granting wish machine in the end
(And PUT BACK THE SCENE WITH SABINO ASHA AND THE WISHING TREE FOR THE MOUSE'S SAKE WHY WOULD YOU-"

Though, I am limiting the options as only these two because some people wanted a completely different movie. Like, I know it's supposed to be Disney's (the animation studio, not the whole dang company) centennial anniversary movie and therefore it should include the tropes it's known for like romances, obviously evil villains, animal sidekicks, etc. But, that only sets up way too high expectations than what the creators have intended. So, let's just remake Wish as any other movie Disney made without the pressure that it's their 100th anniversary movie.
For the "improvements" we gotta to stick on the ideas that are present and unused. Things like "making Magnifico the protagonist" is thrown out of the dungeon window because that would've been a completely different movie. The main fundamentals are taking down an oppressing monarch, magical being from space and achieving dreams and wishes.
But, "didn't you say in an early post to express creativity is to break out of its bounds", yes I did. However, like i said about making Magnifico the hero or have it be a romance are different to what the creators' intended story is. To remake Wish, you have to remake Wish. Not make a completely different movie. Like, still make it the same premise but with minor deets like Asha being a princess and sorceress in training or Star is a magical creature Magnifico secretly kept to harness its magic. Somewhat different story, but the same structure and themes.
If you have any ideas for alternative Wish story ideas, feel free to share them in the comments or reblog them.
#I don’t think they needed the starboy concepts or Amaya being evil for the movie to be fixed#concepts are developed and get scrapped for a number of reasons- and if the thought was that these concepts weeent what they were going for#then that’s that#I think my big issue is that everything wish has in the Final Cut of the film could have worked- it just all feels so hollow and half baked#Magnifico feels like he’s trying to be the sympathetic and misguided antagonist- but they also wanted him to be the pure evil king who#steals and looks down on his people#Amaya and Asha’s friends could have all used more distinctive personalities and roles in the story#The whole thing around “I’m a star” and people coming from stars and being connected and all that was super underdeveloped#Wish felt like they were going by the formula for that classic Disney movie while not understanding how to tie those elements together#I don’t think wishes needed it’s concepts to be good- and honestly if the concepts were handled like the actual movie ended up being I very#likely Have all the same problems#I think wish fails in its story because it’s confused about what it wants to be and what it wants to say#it props itself up with references that feel like fourth wall breaks for the audience and not integrated into the world for the characters#like Asha doesn’t feel like a fairy godmother or someone who embodies that archetype/role throughout the story#it feels like a cheap reference that just makes you think about another- more thought out- movie
