Mod - Henford Hiders Mod: Hide cars, phone booths and more

I’ve been playing in my medieval save a bit recently, and cottage living has added so much to the gameplay, including this incredible world. But there are a bunch of really modern objects cluttering the landscape here and there, from telephone poles to trucks and tractors. In the past, I’ve used mods like @pandorasimbox’s Timeless mod to get around this, but unfortunately it hasn’t been updated for cottage living.

So after stumbling across Plasticbox’s empty props mod on MTS and realizing I could create a quick stop-gap solution for this using the method from those files, went ahead and did this.

With this mod you can stop the following debug world items from appearing around Henford-on-Bagley:

Static vehicles (tractors, farm trucks, SUVs, small cars, and double decker buses)

Street lights (not lanterns)

Fire hydrants and post boxes

Telephone poles and phone booths

Note: these objects will not be available from debug either, since I’ve replaced the object footprints and models with null values. Although, if there are versions of these objects in standard build/buy, they may still be available for purchase and use there.

Big Barn Part 1 - Build Items

The swatches:

In addition to WFS 5 original wood colors I added @zx-ta s 10 woods, and another 3: Grey, Falu Red, and Grandma Lisas Blue.

Falu Red is the traditonal red paint used in Sweden. It was actually a bi-product of the Falu Copper Mine, and became a standard color from 17th century and onwards. This is the origin for the classic Swedish Cottage painted red and most often with white deco. The Lisa Blue is inspired by my Great Grandma Lisa (1864-1945). I never met her, but grew up with the story about her blue cottage. She loved this blue color, which was not at all common at the time in the Swedish North where she lived in a small village. She shocked the whole village using this blue color. I had a playhouse when I was little painted Lisa Blue.

In Part 1:

Two updated wood floors (new swatches) (first posted with the Winery set) One new floor One ground cover (terrain paint)

Four wall variations - vertical, horizontal, with corners, and with deco colored corners.

Three windows - 1-tile, a small version of the 1 tile, and a big barn window Three doors + three door frames

Three fences - low, medium and tall

Two gates - I made these from the door meshes, because the fences needed gates.

Winterfest Day 15: New Cradles Set - Updated, new additions

Last year I gave you a set of four new functioning baby bassinets. Now it's time to update! With coding support from the fabulous Mizore Yukii this new set gives you six new cradles for your historical sims - all functioning as the game default one. If you also look for baby clothing default replacement, you can find them here. Put the files in the zip-file in your mods folder. There are 13 files - 2 files per cradle option, and a tuning file. The tuning file can clash with other mods you have that changes the tuning for bassinets - and may need updating in the future. This mod replaces the Base Game default bassinet, but it does not change anything with the other bassinets in game (vampire, alien, spellcaster) - they are still there and can be used as before. All these six options spawn randomly when a baby is born. If you want a specific one (say, a peasant one in your peasants hut), place the one you want before the baby is born. Then the baby will be born in it (or placed in it after birth in the Hospital Almshouse.

You can not change cradle model after the baby is born - but you can change color.

The cradles included:

- Bioshock Cradle - this is the default replacement cradle and is suitable for most historical eras.

- TSM Peasant Cradle - a simple cradle, bed of hay and cloth. This should be appropriate for all poor sims of most eras of history. This cradle can absolutely be used for your sims 4 Nativity Scene :)

- TSM Middle Class Cradle - a nice, comfy and decorated wooden cradle.

- TSM Royal Cradle - a gilded cradle for princes and princesses. These four original cradles from last year have all gotten better textures and now look so much better.

- SDA Castle Cradle - converted from Sims 2, original by Sims Design Avenue. Matching the Castle Nursery Set Part 1 and Part 2.

- SDA Campagne Cradle - converted from Sims 2, original by Sims Design Avenue. I included some more modern looking swatches. I haven't converted the Campagne Nursery Set yet, but that can happen :)

Download all the needed files for the Historical Cradles in one zip (Dropbox) Unzip and place the files in your mods folder. The new files will overwrite the old version.
