Sophomore 310 critique
I attended the critique of the sophomore 310 class. Their project was to over time develop a animal exhibit. They started out by cutting out shapes and piecing them together. After that they had to do research on animal exhibits. One that I found to be very interesting was the sealion exhibit by Max Driftmier. With his design he made the sealion pool to be in the shape of a sealion. I found this to be very unique and interesting. He also utilized spackle in order to create a texture to the walls. Overall, I found his design to be very unique and interesting

Outdoor theatres
When researching outdoor theatres and stages very little can be found. This is mainly due to the fact that smaller stage areas are not very common. However I was able to find some information on what to pay attention to when designing an outdoor performing space. The two main factors to pay attention to would be lighting and materials used. These are two factors that are immensely important within all performing sites. Lighting because you need to be able to see the people and material because the stage itself needs to be sturdy enough to hold many different things. Apart from this the information I found was quite minimal.

Experiencing Architectural School
This article was very interesting to read. While there are many things that I took away from this article there are a few that stood out to me. For example the intense workload that comes with the first year of studio continues to be intimidating and daunting to think about. In addition to this the fact of how much we will be learning in the next few years was amazing to me. One of the last points that really stuck with me was the jury review that occurs within this major. I had never heard about this before reading the article and found it very interesting about how students get to present their work to be reviewed. Overall, this was a very intriguing article that I was glad to be able to read.
