OKAY LAST TTPD POST FOR NOW. I had one more opinions on it.
So I'm not usually a follower of the Taylor Swift Lore(tm). I know some of it because I'm online as fuck, but mostly I try to keep it out of my mind because 1. i prefer to listen to the songs and play around with different interpretations, let my imagination wander, put my blorbos into situations, that sort of thing, and 2. I don't know any of these people. Like, I hope she's happy, I hope she ends up with someone who makes her happy, but i don't know any of these people or any of what actually happened and frankly none of us do
But with TTPD, that feels a little...different? This album feels so diary-esque, and comes off more like she wrote it for herself and then also released it to the public because, y'know, that's what she does. It feels kinda weird to take a song like that and mold it like playdough in your mind while staring dramatically out the bus window. It's like, should I really be doing this? It's her life, not a New Toy to play with. Am I being insensitive?
Idk. Maybe I'm actually oversensitive. After all, she *has* said that she prefers when people take her songs and make them their own, instead of just thinking about her dating life.
...so, maybe it *is* okay to have some utterly unhinged tankjohnny thoughts while listening to But Daddy I Love Him

If we're talking about Miley Cyrus and Jojo Siwa and every other young female celebrity who went through a "wild" phase when she got older, I think we need to acknowledge that Joe Jonas did the exact same thing with DNCE. Literally, the Jonas Brothers went on hiatus and he snatched up two former band members to release an album full of the sluttiest manwhore anthems imaginable AND THEN they got nominated for both the Kids Choice Awards and the Radio Disney Music Awards, which is the funniest part of the whole thing for me cause like--

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.
