Kindly, Zack set up a tab and the bartender started them off with two beers. Before walking away, he gave Carson a creepy wink that set a shiver down her spine. "Ugh, gag me," she whispered under breath and took a sip of the beer. The lukewarm liquid soaked into her taste buds then slide down her throat. "Shit is nasty," she set the bottle down on the wooden table with a grunt. Unexpectedly, a group of six men made themselves comfortable by sliding into the benches next to Zack and Carson. Her and Zack exchanged an uncomfortable look, not knowing what their intention was until one of them sitting beside Zack spoke up. "What do you two doin' all the way out 'ere?" his voice was low and firm. "Well we just got new bikes today so we figured we'd explore the biker life!" Carson responded with a laugh that didn't seem to fit the situation because nobody else laughed along with her besides Zack's awkward forced laugh. "Yeah, so..." she took another sip of her beer not knowing what she was supposed to say. "Y'all are a fine young couple," the same man added in then turned and spit on the floor. Carson frowned a little in disbelief. "Oh, we're not a couple, just mates." She nodded at Zack whose cheeks were flushed bright red. "What about you boys? All having a giant orgy I assume?" Carson cracked another joke and watched all of the men's faces remain still. None of them laughed. "Geez, tough crowd," she nudged the man next to her trying to hide her nerves. Something about this situation wasn't right and she could sense it strongly. Carson watched as Zack nervously held his beer in his shaking hand.

With Zack’s date with Amelia right around the corner, he needed a pair of wheels…and fast! Getting a car was out of the question. He didn’t have that kind of cash. Plus, if he was going to get a car, Zack wanted it to be one that he really appreciated. Not just a last minute piece of shit. A few days ago, Zack saw an add posted by someone about a few motorcycles that were being sold at the junk yard today. So, that was where he was headed. Back in Illinois, Zack had a bike that he absolutely adored, but with his move to Bristol he had to sell it. With his earnings, he was determined to buy another bike once he settled in. On foot, it took Zack about thirty minutes to arrive at the junk yard. At the junk yard, there was a collection of ten bikes, all being sold by an old biker looking man. There was a crowd of people hovering around the motorcycles, all interested in purchasing one today. Zack felt slightly intimidated. But, he forced those thoughts out of his mind and began casually observing each bike. They all looked like they were in pretty good condition, but it wasn’t about the looks. It only mattered how it drove. He examined each bike carefully, and wasn’t quite satisfied with any of them until his eyes landed on the very last bike in the row. There was a young lady straddling the bike, wearing a leather jacket, leather shorts, and a pair of Doc Martins. From a distance, Zack couldn’t help but stare at her as she swung her long brown locks over her shoulder. For some reason, Zack felt intimidated again. Swallowing hard, he shoved his hands into his pockets and made his way over to the girl sitting on the bike he desired. “Um, excuse me,” he coughed nervously. “You’re sitting on my bike,” he spoke a tad more confidently. The girl raised an eyebrow at him as to wonder why he reference to the motorcycle being his. “Well, I mean, the one I’m going to buy.”

Zack took off with little to no warning, leaving a cloud of dirt behind him. Everyone in the area stopped to look at Zack then to Carson to see if she was going to make a big exit like he did. Instead of twisting the bike to purposely cause a dirt cloud, Carson neatly started up the bike and drove off at a steady speed. For a few minutes Carson drove behind the still mysterious bloke wondering where they were headed. They came to an intersection where they had to stop to let the other lane of cars turn. She pulled up next to Zack to try and get a word in. "Where are we headed? Or are you just going wherever life takes us?," she smiled. Even though neither of them knew each other at all, Carson felt open minded to anything the bloke would suggest. "Wait, you're the American, I'm the Brit. Let me show you around." It was their turn to go, and instead of Zack leading the drive Carson lead this time. She took him in loops around the city, driving through small alleyways then back onto the main streets. They chatted at stop lights whenever the time came and Carson even pointed out a few useful places for him to visit. After their tour of Bristol, they drove out of town. With no direction in particular, they kept driving and driving until sunset was approaching. They were about three hours out of Bristol when they finally stopped riding. A few stop lights ago, Carson suggested they go get something to eat at a local pub so that's where they were now. They hopped off their two new bikes and headed into the pub that had rows of motorcycles parked out front.

This morning, Carson woke up realizing she only had a few more days of freedom before her new job at Roundview began. Of course she was excited to start working because she loved her job, but letting go of all her free time was going to be difficult. So today she wanted to do something different. Spontaneous. Weird. Through old mates, she had heard about motorcycles being sold at a junk yard a few blocks away from her flat. She had only rode one a few times and never planned on owning one, but it was on her bucket list so she decided why not try? After taking a shower, she dried her hair, put a few curls in it, and did minimum makeup except she put on a little red lipstick. Since she would be looking at motorcycles, she was going for the bad ass biker chick look. She put on a plain white t-shirt, leather jacket, leather shorts, and her favorite pair of Doc Martin boots. Satisfied, Carson headed out of her flat with a wad of cash in her pocket and her cell phone. It didn't take long for her to reach the junk yard, but once she arrived things became serious. There was a good amount of people there, all battling each other for the chance of owning one of these beauties. A bike caught her eye immediately so she headed over to it with a huge grin. She swung her right leg over it and sat down. Her hands gripped the handle bars tightly as she imagined herself riding it down the street. Her fantasy was interrupted when a young man spoke to her in a meek voice. "Your bike?" she rose an eyebrow at the boy who seemed nervous. "Hm, well then," Carson sighed and got off the bike swiftly, looking like a pro. "Well don't just stand there like a lost puppy, go on!" She motioned for him to take a seat on the bike. As he did so, Carson turned to the bike on the other side of her. "I guess this will do," she whispered and petted it like a dog. She waved the owner over to where she and the random bloke were. "I'll take this one, and he'll take that one," she smiled and handed the owner the cash then watched the boy do the same. The owner walked off smirking at the pile of cash he had just received. "You're welcome, by the way. For letting you take that bike. You're lucky I'm nice," Carson swung herself over the motorcycle and settled down comfortably.
