In the recent Undertale newsletter, Toby Fox showed off an unused scene that would have occurred in the Judgement Hall had the player decided to speedrun the game! This scene features Sans chastising the player for being early and slowly eating an ice cream for about a full minute while an original, slow song plays. I’m sure this would have been quite a headache for speedrunners!
Another new face joining my expansive roster, meet Aeronomer Lennz! He is as imperious and cold as he is pretty. He’s an anti-paladin sort of character, and while he presents himself as dignified and charming in reality he’s got a cruel streak and that controlled, poised demeanor can crack in the right circumstances. You might be able to appeal to his sense of honor though, as he follows his own personal code of conduct pretty closely (usually, unless you’re standing between himself and something he’s driven to get at).
He’s got a bit of a history with Hoskk and over the years has become something of a rival. I got a solid backstory for this guy but not sure where I’m taking his story just yet.
Did all this in pens, no pencil. Sketching in ballpoint is still the ultimate.
I’m still till today a bit in the dark about what did Mark (Markiplier) get so upset about Undertale.
Here’s my POV: I first watched him play Undertale a bit. But back then my attitude was a bit meh for a reason or another. I didn’t watch it then. Not like I hated it or anything. I just didn’t have that high interest in it. After a while another artist at deviantArt PMd me and showed me how much they had improved with drawing. The characters looked interesting to me, so I did a little research of them. Turned out they were the skelebros from Undertale. Then I remembered Mark playing the game and started to watch that again. He had done two episodes of the series, so I then continued with my life waiting for more of the episodes to appear. Nothing. Then I went to his channel to ask why Undertale wasn’t continuing. Then Mark’s angry fan attacked me and accused me of harassing Mark like all the other crazy Undertale fans. That got me even more confused. I hardly knew anything about the game yet, so it would have been impossible for me to tell him how to play the game. I had no idea what had happened. Apparently these crazy Undertale fans had been bugging him about the game. Like telling him how he should have played it.
But what I would like to know is that what exactly did they say to Mark? He doesn’t exactly strike to me like this thin-skinned guy, who takes every insult seriously. Or lets trolls annoy him.
I personally prefer not telling Let’s Players how to play games, since I personally watch Let’s Players to see how they react or play in certain situations. Then compare these Let’s Players’ playstyle to each other. I don’t find it entertaining to see every Let’s Player to play exactly the same way. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with this.
But to me it seems like Mark took some extra frustration with this one. Were they really that much out of the line? I admit I got disappointed too. I had just gotten into the Undertale, but my fave Let’s Player had just gotten fed up with it. At least another fave Let’s Player did play through it. Out of respect to Mark who got attacked by over-the-top obsessed Undertale fans, I shall not mention their name. ^^;
Hmm... They all should be Sans, but their intelligence seems to differ quite a bit, which I find a bit strange... UTSans (who I still suspect to be the same as DRSans) appears to be the smartest. Which I actually don’t have a problem with. - w - I personally just find it a bit weird. Then again, FellSans is supposed to be kinda same, but meaner version of UTSans. And usually those who can harm others without any kind of guilt or at least doubts, tend to lack sense, so Fell being a bit dumber than UTSans makes sense. But I always saw Fell as someone who wasn’t completely evil. Then again, when you look at how Sans treats kids and teens, I can’t say that UTSans is completely good and pure.
Like... If a person was completely good, they wouldn’t seek to harm even those, who actually would ‘deserve’ it. He’s more about patience and justice, and justice can be quite cruel at times. In other words, I think Sans is more like chaotic good than lawful, or neutral good. When it comes to jokes, he has some sense what to say in certain kind of situations, but not always. He might go too far... I mean, the mom joke in Deltarune. Telling the a little kid that they might have killed them, if Toriel didn’t say anything... Well, I think Sans is a bit of aloner, so he may act like this, and maybe feel a bit bad about it, but then just think that hay, if they now start to avoid him, he can enjoy alone time more. He hardly ever tells what he really thinks of something, unless he thinks it helps somehow.
I wouldn’t be surprised, if he was the type who hates to talk about himself, but would love to learn more about others’ thought process. This has made him to be good at reading others’ facial expressions and body language. He doesn’t hate interacting with people, especially if the people are somehow involved with something he is highly interested in, but doesn’t exactly hate to spend time alone.
How many of the other Sanses have these qualities? I think even if LustSans is addicted to... certain activity, he still has these qualities. Ink... actually seems like completely his own person... But that’s probably because of the lack of soul. FellSans... hmm... Now that UTSans can be quite mean at times, how does this version of Sans act like? Even meaner? He seems more open about his intentions, that UTSans. UTSans can be pretty unpredictable in a way, that you don’t know when he actually suddenly could get serious, or if he has some nasty prank up his sleeve. FellSans, you know he hardly ever is up to good, but he could be unpredictable in a way, that he suddenly might actually do something that was considered wholesome. And when he does, he’d rather not want anyone to know about it. Or he’ll never hear the end of it... Uhh... Before this post gets too long, I still have to add, that ScientistSans is in my opinion a bit too different from the UTSans, even if he’s supposed to be him from the past. Carkki 85 out...
Oh and HorrorSans (my fave) is Sans starved, betrayed, angered and given a nasty ‘bump’ on the head, which most likely affected on his common sense and memory.
If the post is too long, I can’t edit it on my phone… And I just realized that people can’t view the story if they are not on dA. Now I have to wait till I get home. - 3 - Stupid censorship…
My excuse is that I only slept two hours.
