Like perfect vibes. He’s angry, he’s whiny, his voice cracks, he drew rage art of Aang and hung it on his wall right after meeting him, he disguised himself by wrapping a scarf over his eye, some random woman beat him up…

I’ve only seen three episodes and he’s perfect.

My take on the Netflix ATLA series,

I went in with no expectations and enjoyed it. It’s definitely different in a lot of areas and the characters are slightly different but majorly the same. The graphics were beautiful!! I don’t think anyone could recreate the show perfectly and it’s hard to capture everything in live action especially compared to animation. They did great for a live action show and have stayed with the same vibe even if they changed the story around a bit. Yes I could nitpick every single detail or I could enjoy a great adaption on the original story and just appreciate how well they did on everything else!! The cast was great, the music was great, the story was great! I laughed and cried during it all and loved it! That Kyoshi scene tho 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

The Netflix adaptation of Avatar the Last Airbender was good actually!!!!

It’s not a one to one replica. It’s its own thing. It hits all the important story beats and (in my opinion) improves on many of the characters characterizations.

It’s ok to love both the original and the adaptations. I recommend anyone basing their decision of this show solely on the super-fans of the internet to do yourself a favor and give it a shot anyway.

It’s very clear to me that a lot of people gave it their all in making this show. The actors and actresses knocked it out of that park. The writing was decent and cohesive, and I’d be remiss to not give the effects team their due.

Please stop tearing these wonderful works down without first giving them a chance.

in retrospect it's remarkable how many people were arguing whether it was underhanded of taylor swift to express discomfort with kanye west writing sexually explicit lyrics about her if he asked her consent beforehand and comparatively few people asking if it was fucked up for kanye west to be writing those lyrics in the first place let alone calling her and ask her to sign off on it. did no one think to ask if it was fucked up for a man to call a woman he had previously humiliated and say, hey could i rap about how i made you famous and you would probably let me fuck you as compensation? people were so quick to accept this phone call as an example of kanye being the stand up guy and, if memory serves, few if any people asking if calling a woman with your wife to ask if he could make sexually explicit comments about her was not coercive at least and probably harassment in itself
