To my followers, as Ahmed has mentioned in his message, he's writing on behalf of a young boy, Yusuf, and his family. Yusuf urgently needs medical treatment that is completely unavailable in Gaza due to the ongoing genocide.
There is a breakdown of funds in the GoFundMe page. The ultimate goal is to get Yusuf's entire family out of Gaza as well as get them on their feet when they've gotten out. But the priority is getting Yusuf and his mother to safety so Yusuf can get the treatment he needs.

Hey guys, I have a very worrying update from @haneenatya. Her mother's condition has considerably worsened, and she needs immediate medical care now. She had a stroke and she is bleeding from her eye, the same eye she had a stroke in and had surgery on a while back. She needs another emergency surgery in Egypt but right now she's still stuck in Ghazzah where they can't possibly operate on her due to the overcapacity of the hospitals nearby.
I'm not sure how much time we have left before the damage is permanent. Please spread this fundraiser around, and get people to donate:

A father's plea for peace for his children and his sick wife
Imagine a world where instead of raindrops falling from the sky, bombs rain down, and instead of soothing lullabies, the sound of warplanes fills the air. This is the harsh reality that my children, Mounir (6 years old) and Siraj (4 years old), and my wife, who is suffering from cancer, live in. We live in Gaza, a place where hope seems to be fading.
I am Mohammed, Rawaa’s husband, and I feel the heavy burden of ensuring a better future for them.
The war took my job, our home, the very essence of our existence. We are now living in makeshift tents, sharing what little we have in this besieged land. However, in the midst of all this devastation, my wife's illness bothers me greatly because there is no treatment for it.
Friends in Egypt have offered us a chance to escape this nightmare, but the path to safety is blocked by a daunting barrier: the border crossing demands $5,000 for each life to pass through.
I plead with you, don't let my children become victims of war.
Your contribution, no matter how small, could be the key to unlocking a future free from fear and filled with opportunities. Your assistance could mean the difference between life and death for my family. With your help, we can secure safe passage out of Gaza and begin the journey toward a better future. Tomorrow I’m going on a 7-day long hunger strike. I’m doing this in solidarity with the starving Palestinians in Gaza, who’ve been enduring horrendous conditions for more than half a year now—so much so that the IPC projects 1,701,000 Gazans, essentially half of the entire Gazan population, to be in IPC 5 (catastrophe/famine) by July 2024.
I’ve raised 420 dollars to Anera to corroborate each day of my hunger strike; still, if you have anything to spare, please consider donating more to their cause. Anera is one of very few humanitarian aid organizations that have managed to contend with Israeli’s constant aggression, their strikes on aid trucks and their purposefully shutting down the borders through which aid passes, to bring food and medical supplies to a still rising number of displaced malnourished, wounded Gazans. Anything is something, even if you may think a few dollars won’t make a difference.
I’ll also be cold quitting social media for the time I’m on hunger strike. Any posts from May 1 through May 8 will be queued. Thank you for donating to my hunger strike 🤍 it means a lot
