I know that this is a comment on the larger fandom trend of sidelining female characters to make place for a gay ship, but pls wolfstar with Harry do not fit the bill! Sirius is his godfather, chosen by jily, for their child in the very likely case of them dying in the war. Which is what happened. Harry lives, his parents don't. That's the basis for this entire book series. Jily Die. Harry lives. Sirius lives. And Remus lives as well. And Sirius and Remus have a whole thing going on even in poa, and both characters have sufficient textual basis to be read as queer and a history™ together. It's the natural next step to make both of them parents to Harry, their best friends son who was orphaned before the beginning of the books.
