Anyone I DM to confront about their weirdness always says something like "wow it bothered you ENOUGH to dm" why did you goofy kids decide DMing was a special rare thing.
Is this not what all of you see all of the time, do you not have like 50 new dm convos a week. A public remark (including tags) is supposed to be the "wow you're really serious" choice. DMs or "PMs" as we called them on the normal Internet are the very most casual tier of internet communication.
#yeah the net is a different place now and barely anyone will reach out to anyone#pms to gush about something to each other is rare and even more rare is people doing it to settle a difference#or clear a misunderstanding. no more pms over talking about techniques for things or if theres any updates on something ect#i will say the net is a lot lonelier of a place and i dont think many people understand how bountiful things seemed on early internet foru#and even myspace tbh asjfjas#THE POKE FEATURE OR THE DOORBELL ON THE MESSENGERS#also do you all remember how yahoo messenger used to have a drawing feature for the chats and msn messenger had games?

#its because a lot of these people don't want to believe that abusers have traits that could make them like them#my abusers were the worst monsters in the planet but to outsiders they were so friendly and charming#they seemed funny and clever and they always knew what to say to seem level headed and likable to those around#even other family close to them never knew of the terror that was under the surface because of this too#the unfortunate thing about abusers is they're also people and people come with nuance and complexities too and even outright good traits#if you try to separate them out as boogeymen and pretend normal seeming people could never be one then all you've done is just depersonaliz#it all so much that A you wont take introspection and responsibility on yourself if you ever turn into one#but B also blame every last victim of it out there#and its just not realistic- like i said a lot of abusers seem charming. thats part of how they get away#and how their victims are more easily silenced#you cant take it as a personal attack nor suggestion to hear that some of them might have traits you might find yourself liking#or that one of them might fool you too

#i know theres a bit of nuances to the conversations but most people should not be washing every day#and in a lot of ways it can actually be more harmful to do so especially when you don't really have a lot of reason for it#yeah people who work hard and dirty jobs that work up sweats and have you around foul shit absolutely should#you should get rid of that bacteria thats going to be growing on you#but for someone working jobs that wont even work up a sweat it has no benefit#instead you'd be fucking up a lot of the microbiome your body needs to work with a lot more than anything#and frankly for a lot of people this also fucks up their skin pretty heavily and can lead to issues with it#and no amount of serums and masks and lathers and using 5 dif lotions are going to help#in fact off and on that also fucks up your natural balances too#but i try to keep it to once every 3 days when i can but my job does sometimes make it more#though sometimes a whorebath works just fine in place of that ajkfjka#i used to take super frequent showers in my youth thanks to depression and it did ruin my skin badly
