in my head the star wars equivalent of tswift is some human woman named tay’lor spiff or something and her stans are losing their minds over theories that she’s secretly a jedi singing about the horrors of war, even though she’s from a neutral system that hasn’t seen so much as a moral panic in 50 years

Atrem's family is a whole ordeal and this isn't even going into his upbringing and his fucking parents which is a fascinating case study on its own. I just wanted to release his husband and child into the wild for now because they deserve to be free :'D

LIKEEEEEE i'll be the first to admit that bio-analog arms are cool as shit technologically speaking (fuck man it's what im studying) but i see some shit like "i need the writers to give him a Proper arm" and im like oh my god can you consider that, this deep in and with the starwars prosthetics history existing in the canon, that it must have been an active and deliberate choice on the writers part to have him keep and maintain a scomp arm rather than a bio analog like luke or anakin or whatever and Why That Might Be. and even if it wasnt a deliberate choice to give this representation (god knows the writers arent That competent) the fact is that it's There and the double standard on respecting queer/poc/nd/etc. representation but not this is crazy. hey guys i wish the writers made tech Not Autistic because hed be so better fixed and they could definitely do it because the star wars scifi technology probably exists and like why Wouldnt he want to choose to get his autism fixed since it's so bad for his emotional communication like we saw him struggle in his conversation with omega!!!!! thats what you sound like.

"he deserves a proper arm can they give him an actual arm" look me in the eye and tell me u are normal about amputees and people with congenital limb differences

like sorry i just saw a really good gifset with the ''relax. echo's on it.'' quote header and i just remembered how fucking good it is that we get a character who is an amputee and is shown not only to be competent, but to be recognized as competent by other members of the cast without any expressed desire to be """"""normal"""""" like. some of the people who want him to be """"fixed"""" have a bio-arm analog are the same people who get (rightfully!) mad when characters' sexualities or ethnic traditions in their representation get ignored. and its like. like it's just so frustrating to see that this kind of thing doesnt register on the same level of representation as the rest because theres just such a deep bias running for "well who wouldnt want to be normal." that isnt even recognized as bias, it's just taken as Fact.
