there's something really sad to me abt Cardboard Homestar vs. Cardboard Marzipan, and how Homestar and Marzipan see their relationship
like Cardboard Marzipan seems to be how Homestar sees Marzipan - a nag who flirts with other men, and complains about everything ("I think fireworks promote violence").
but when Marzipan brings Cardboard Homestar around with her through her day, we see less of what she thinks about Homestar, and more of what she WANTS from Homestar - or any relationship. she wants to feel validated and heard, to be appreciated for who she is and what she does. Cardboard Homestar calls her smart, compliments her for her choices, and engages in activities with her that she enjoys.
it's really good character writing, and i appreciate how the bros Chap balance their usual silliness with this kinda insight. there's depth here!

Marzipan
Marzipan is Homestar Runner's on-again off-again girlfriend. She's very kind and sweet, unless she finds out you've been cruel to animals. She plays an acoustic guitar, which she calls Carol, and she likes to play music for birds. One time Homestar made her a sandwich with pimento olive eyes and she thought it was so cute she couldn't eat it.
