pt.2 of overanalyzing little details in-game in search of kaeya crumbs (mostly praising him to be really honest with you)
includes sources from genshin's official account and game itself, (kaeya's birthday story translated, noelle's hangout event, diluc, and windblume festival)
ALRIGHTY so if you haven't played Noelle's Hangout Event or participated in the Windblume Festival event you can sit this one out, regardless, it's your choice anyway :D
I really like headcanons of which portrays Kaeya as a bookworm, there's an official fanart of him in an office, sitting on a couch reading a book with a magnifying glass as its book cover and other books lying on the floor along with two books beside him. There's even a picture of which I think is the waterfall located at Springvale
I have a feeling that he used those books as a reference to guide us in his Story Quest
Onto the reason why Noelle's included here, there are certain dialogues that caught my attention here that made my mind drift to Kaeya:
I bet that Kaeya have read these books and incorporated his own methods in order to be more natural, interesting, and a guy that anyone could easily talk to, especially those he plans to make a background check on.
As for the romance category of books—
Maybe he also gathers tips from these books, considering that Nimrod from the Windblume Festival, wanted to ask Kaeya for his help to think of a gift for his wife, but is been given to the traveller instead. (i wanted to know what kind of advice he would give though ;-;)

A really admirable trait of Kaeya honestly, considering his introduction:
Overall, he's genuinely a charming guy, you may think that you know him a lot just by talking to him, but he doesn't exactly talk more about himself but rather talk about other things in life to make a conversation that doesn't include his own story. I think traveller could also tell this during his birthday:

He always smiles like this. If I think back to my experiences with Kaeya, he's never brought up things like his birthday or any other personal matters.
Seeing him happily eating skewers while drinking, I actually get the feeling that the Kaeya before me is different than the usual Kaeya.
About his birthday... I believe Kaeya mentioned before that he's not from Mondstadt. Does he ever feel lonely?
Lastly, since Kaeya appears to read a lot, it makes sense that he's the brain between him and Diluc. Not in a sense that Diluc is the brawn, but most likely Kaeya makes sure to have a second opinion on Diluc's plan in order for things to go more smoothly. Seeing how convoluted Kaeya's plans are, it is for good intention anyway, and I believe Diluc respects him for that, not using the Knights of Favonius as the only source of intel but by other means as well.
Whether Kaeya is planning to betray Mondstadt soon, it's a possibility, but I personally don't think it'll happen when he has shown care for Mondstadt, have a stable relationship and connections with the citizens, and have done immense things in order to keep everyone safe. He didn't earn the trust of Varka (even if he disclosed his past vaguely to him) and Jean for nothing. Of course everyone's free to interpret what or who is Kaeya :D

Rant about how yall perceive Dr. Ratio bc I’m tired
I really wish people would stop projecting their hatred of debate bros and egotistical college students onto Dr. Ratio. Like yeah, they suck we know we are tired but please he is not a frat boy trying to convince you that 12$ being minimum wage is a good thing actually. The funny thing is that most of Ratio’s haters would probably have him agree with them on a lot of topics, but the problem is people don’t use their brain, hear “ratio is racist” and run with it without ever questioning if it’s true or makes sense for his character. Y’all cannot handle a character being kind but not nice, and honestly I’m so happy ratio isn’t a woman in canon bc oh my lord the misogyny that would happen if he was.
And honestly, I can’t even blame them considering how OOC half of Ratios “fans” write him.
Like please the next time I get hit with stoic, emotionless, unempathetic, uncaring, self-centered, narcissistic asshole (and even racist slaveowner ew god kill it with fire) ratio FROM HIS “FANS” I’m done. Stop, please get your grubby hands off of him. I’d rather read 10 dead dove fics in a row than be subjected to the horrors that is fanon Ratio. Especially mfs who write him this way in Aventio, I despise how a genuinely loving ship dynamic got warped into “toxic yaoi” bc people can’t read and/or be normal about mlm ships ever. I’m genuinely begging for a new popular gay ship to exist so all the weirdos can go run to that one and I can enjoy Aventio in peace.
To everyone who writes him correctly, thank you I love you, begging for more wholesome Aventio and Ratio content in general pls it’s the closest to canon (if you care ab that) I beg

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
