#I'm at that point in my art career where I KNOW when something looks off#But I don't know WHAT#Like I'm looking at this and it looks fine but just a little off#Maybe a more experienced shader would look at this and think#'Wow this is so overdone and bad! #still working on a 'canon' design for my persona#I've also been doing a cool thing where I trace over art to see how they did the thing#I would never post anything I traced btw!#but I made this after doing some tracing as studying#specifically for the hair#hair curls are so difficult dude#I also worked on shoulders!#I think drawing characters with small heads and big bodies hilarious so I might play with that#I'm doing to experiment with that style I think#wip

Being on the cusp of Gen Z and millennial is pain
#i've literally been so focused on not getting stuck with sameface syndrome that i haven't played with color in forever#these color choices?#color picked from my minecraft skin#i didn't realize how bland it looked until i actually applied it to my art#i'm gonna fix it up in the morning when i'm not trying to fall asleep for a 4am shift tomorrow#will i forget to? probably!#playing with colors is so fun: no one ever#wait does this mean i have to change the colors on my minecraft skin too#aw nuts#i hate art#WIP
