Which new releases would youlike to read? Hunted by the sky by Tanaz Bhathena ,is a fantasy book sets in medieval India and society was decided into two groups on the basis of magical power. There are two main characters, one is Gul and another one is Canvas. Gul's born with a star shaped. This birthmark controls her own fate. Her parents were killed by the sky warriors in order to protect her. And from there the story of Gul's revenge starts. Other one is- Cavas a boy,works in the stable. The first two chapters feels slower than the rest of the part. Dual POV successfully balances it all. I like the character Gul more mostly because of her fierce characteristic though she makes some mistakes . A pinch of romance is also included in this book but it didn't really work for me. It feels more like a insta-love which isn't my cup of tea! The story is character driven and writing style is easy to follow and I like the way author has added the "desi" touch in this book which has definitely made the story more polished. In a breeze, Chance settles On the bosom of the night- Moon turns quaint, When I first read these lines I stopped here. An advantage of reading poetry book is you can start from anywhere. This was the first piece of the write-up,I came up. Anatomy of a Self-indulgent moon gazer by Prateek Josh, is a collection of poems, verses and phrases. The book is tiny, under 100 pages but the depth of the words in it can't be fathomed within a little period of time. If I set side the contents inside the book, the title alone is a host itself. This book is unique and words are fascinating. But I guess, it can be difficult for beginners. The cover is also attractive enough and reflects the content of the book really well I enjoyed reading this one but only one thing bothered me throughout this reading, is the font size ! They are too tiny to read it all in one sitting. #rantreview Of #blackflamingo!❤ I read this book back in June for #pridemonthreads! Oh sorry I actually listened to it on @storytel.in! Michael finds himself hard to fit in the Society's puzzle. He's a half greek-cypriot half Jamaican boy. Sometimes he's either too black or too white to be in any particular group. He loves Barbie as a gift more than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And Michael understands this different at an early age. Thus, the story starts with Six years old Michael. Sometimes I envy him for having a supportive Mom! His mother loves him, supports him and accept him just the way he is. I haven't thought pain can be described in verses like this way! Pain for trying hard to fit in with everyone around. Painful feeling of liking someone who doesn't like back . As he grows up he starts to accept himself, and he understands that it's okay to be not fit in everywhere. But he struggles to overcome all the odds. And finally Michael peels of the stereotypes of this social and finally unclips his wings ! Say hello to my one and only UKULELE! I haven't imagined in my weirdest dream that I'll end up owning this instrument ! Back in my childhood days my mother used to play Harmonium. We, Bengali,have a special place for harmonium in their hearts ! It's hard to find any family where none hasn't ever tried learning HARMONIUM. But I'm the black sheep in the family. That instrument never appeals to me. My mom still looks at her oldie-goldie-deary harmonium and tells me perks of mastering the art of a musical instrument. So it's all started suddenly. I looked at one YouTube video and it seemed like I really wished to feel that instrument. An immense urge to feel that wooden structure. TBH, I just love the way the fingers dances on the strings with rhythm! I have never been tempted like that in my entire life .. And then my journey to search a "perfect one" for me started! I watched almost every YouTube video and read every article out there. After doing lots of research, I finally decided which on I should go for.. Yes. Nothing in adulthood starts with over thinking. But for the first time I did something without over thinking. Over thinking started when I placed the order! I was tensed whether I'll receive a GOOD and Real one or not because for the first time I have invested in something like this ! But when I finally got the message that my order was "out for delivery " I could feel the palpitation . I was clueless about my family's reaction. They have no idea what I've done! When they saw the parcel, curiosity obviously appeared on their faces in form of various lines. But when I finally opened the package and spilled the beans, their expressions were ABSTRACT In their horrible dreams they haven't expected this from me ! The Gift of life - an autobiography is a book by a woman for everyone who's struggling to "compromise " with her life and who is not giving priority to herself. Aabha Rosy Vatsa was born in Punjab but soon moved to Allahabad. She again moved to Zambia for further studies. Different cultures and her experiences are nicely written. Her life started to change after her marriage. Sanjeev, her husband's alcohol addiction and his behaviour started to bother her. Like most of Indian families ,Aabha's family tried to make her keep silent. Though they were educated their mentality wasn't better. But Aabha shifted her mind towards spirituality. As it's an autobiography I have to respect her privacy because I was keen to know more about Sanjeev and her.
