Yeah posts about “safe foods” seem proana, and sometimes they are, but at least they’re encouraging us to eat. I love the posts that are like “look how much you can eat and it’s only X calories” because yes we need to eat and eating more, even if it’s less calories, can help us to recover. Remember, please eat. Eating is okay and good, and if you can only eat safe food right now, that’s okay.

Almost no calorie food:
Celery sticks, lettuce, cucumbers, green peppers, mushrooms, cauliflower and broccoli
25-30 calorie food:
1 small tangerine, ½ cup watermelon, ¼ cantalope, 1 small tomato, 1 medium carrot, 1 cup popcorn and 12 pretzel sticks
35-40 calorie food:
1 medium peach, 1 medium nectarine, ½ grapefruit, ½ skim milk, ¼ cup plain yogurt, 3 saltine crackers and ½ small banana
50-60 calorie food:
1 small apple, 1 small orange, 15 grapes, 12 cherries, 1 cup strawberries, ¼ cup cottage cheese and 4 small shrimps
