i ship estimeric as "exes who were never actually together due to catholicism" and i think if vrtrastinien #real then estinien is such a funny guy. this dude. this nasty man. weird. gaunt. kinda ugly imlo (in my lesbian opinion). has autism that makes you rude. has captured the hearts of two world leaders by being a weird rat man who skulks around. he ditched one of the top 5 sexiest elfs who he's known for years (insert aymeric the blue joke here) and is now working as a freelance martial consultant / sugar baby for a dragon king. how. how. his autism rizz i suppose

its wild to me that for as much as people rave about the voice acting in FFXIV (and rightfully so), i've literally never seen anyone talk about the performances for nidhogg and hraesvelgr???
like those VAs were having to deal with a conlang that looks like this:
and still managed to give really great performances with emotion befitting the content of each line
anyway this is an appreciation post for simon greenall (nidhogg) and steven hartley (hraesvelgr), absolute legends

Changing your appearance in ffxiv is so funny to me, like you need to ring a dainty crystal bell to summon a fancy gay elf just to put on a swatch of a different colour lipstick. And you have to pay him 2000gil for the privilege. You can only do this after convincing a passerby that he is actually a hairdresser not a serial killer, then he'll allow you to skip his years long waiting list and summon him with the bell. And he calls you dishevelled.

There was either a quote or a visual in an OSP video once where someone was doing pushups and when asked why they blandly said "'cause I like being able to lift things." The whole thing. Doing physical activity when bored, having very simple justifications for her actions, all of it. That's Tameri.

she paints! mostly landscapes and such (people are hard to draw, and when you travel alone a lot you see a lot of landscapes and eventually just get a sense of how they look). Her excuse for getting into Eulmore with Alphinaud was that she specialized in landscapes and backgrounds

after every conversation with someone more verbose than her (which is most people), Tameri looks up every word that she didn't understand in a little pocket dictionary (or will ask someone if she can). She likes knowing things but unfortunately does not know many things.
Also doing pushups when she's supposed to be resting because "I like being able to lift things" is reason enough for her
