My old coworker/ friend who took my (admittedly shitty) job keeps texting me about how our old boss is being weird w her about money and driving her crazy which is fine like I got along with her so well I didn’t care that they were phasing me out to have her replace me but whenever I talk abt how much my experiences with him sucked she will bare minimum acknowledge it and acknowledge that it sucks and then say something like “but it’s not my business” before moving on. It makes me feel so weird also why do you get to be the only one talking about your experiences why is me sharing suddenly “not your business” also not to mention she has my old job she took my job while I was still working there and then they made me train her and kept trying to schedule me long after I was supposed to be let go and THEN they suggested having me fill in for her on days where she couldn’t make it despite them knowing it overlapped with my new job. Like I enjoyed taking her under my wing and it was not a sustainable position for me anyway but what about that history makes her think she can rant to me but it’s awkward if I relate

April 25th: we have this student who’s family moved here from China and she’s been very shy all year bc she doesn’t understand a ton of English and speaks with a heavy accent but today she and I were having full on conversations all day and she was like being sassy and funny and she was lying about things and begging me to stop teaching her spelling and she was saying sentences loud enough to hear in English and I’m sooo happy about it
