I'm still very much into Blakeshaw and will continue to float around talking about it! My hyperfixation has just shifted onto a different ship recently and so I haven't been as motivated to make content for the murderous magician & his boywife 😔
BUT, with that being said, I'm in the middle of writing a Stalker! Al fic for a shawtie that won a giveaway in The Alfinn Den server last month 👀 so look forward to that! Blakeshaw Week 2023 🌊☀️
That's right, besties! The Alfinn Den Discord server is hosting our very first Blakeshaw Week art/writing prompt event!!
Blakeshaw Week 2023 is going to run from July 12th all the way through to July 22nd of this year & the theme is "Summer Fun"!
Even though this event is being held by The Alfinn Den server, you do not need to be a member of the server to participate in it (it is, however, highly encouraged since we'd love to have more people join in on the fun over there)!
Something we require of all event participants is that YOU MUST BE 18+!! Since we will be allowing NSFW & Dead Dove fanfic/fanart submissions, we will not be allowing minors to participate.
To submit your fanfics or fanart once the event time officially comes, we plan on making a collection on Ao3 that people can submit their fics to as well as having a special hashtag on Twitter for other submissions to be sent to (#BlakeshawWeek2023)!
Please be sure to wait until the actual event run time to send in your submissions!!

The Alfinn Den Discord Server 🚀🎩
Hey besties! So I've seen a few people asking around about possible Blakeshaw-centric communities and discord servers lately...
(This is a bit of a long post, so buckle in!)
Lucky for you, I'm an admin for one! We're called The Alfinn Den and are a tight knit community of around 30 members as of this post! Keep reading for more info!!
We're happy to welcome new members at this time!
As of right now though, we ask that everyone wishing to join us fill out this Google Form !
It has some basic questions about yourself and what fandoms and ships you might like as well as a few more specific ones concerning what presence (are you an artist, writer, general consumer, or other) you have in the community!
There are also a few dead dove & proship related questions as well!
Don't worry though, we have designated channels for both 18+ and dead dove 18+ topics! (So if you don't wish to see or interact with it, you don't have to!)
You MUST be 18+ to join, however. Even if you just want to chat with us and have fun in our other general channels!!
We have a bunch of channels & many kind and welcoming members! We talk about everything from fanart, to fanfic, to headcanons and AUs! The server itself is owned by the author of Grieve in Stereo on Ao3 and we have a wonderful mod team!
A few of us are regularly on voice chat together either playing different video games (mostly Fortnite and Stardew Valley) or even hosting movie nights! We love to just hang out together and have fun!

i fell absolutely in love with tbp and with alfinn as SOON as i saw their first real scene together, instantly i was down bad for the pairing and their chemistry 😩

So, I'm actually an admin for a Blakeshaw server! I've been a member since the very first month all the way back in September of last year!
We're called the Alfinn Den and we're also pretty cautious about antis and everything like that, so I haven't really talked about it a lot on here! (If you look around, I've mentioned a few friends from there in a couple posts a while back)
As of right now we're happy to see new faces join in on the fun, though! It's 18+ only and we currently have a Google Form for possible new members to fill out before gaining entry! I'll make a more detailed post about it after this so keep an eye out!!
For anyone who may be wondering about the member count: As of right now we're sitting at about 30 members with a few less that are regularly active since we do have some lurkers!

Gwen one day does Finns makeup (smokey eye and red lips) and Finney looks good - like Gwen did a really good job at his makeup! Out of excitement, Finn shows Al and kisses him - which leaves a lipstick mark which Finn realises he likes a lot. Like a whole lot. In the end, it ends up with Finneys lipstick entirely smudged and Al left covered in kiss marks from his forehead down to his belt.
(this came to me whilst i was in an exam and i definitely failed but yknow 😔🫶🏼)

And if you did, don't listen to me. I'm only a silly little guy with barely any thoughts in my head. You'll get 'em next time for sure!!)

Finney already knew that, at least in Albert's eyes, he was pretty. Beautiful, even. Al tells him every day, after all. He hadn't really considered it up until he met Al since all he's ever been told about his appearance is that he's ugly. That's what years of bullying will get you. (When Al first started 'courting' Finney and complimenting him a lot, it gave the boy a bunch of mixed feelings and caused much strife within his thoughts.) He got over it though, and slowly let himself just believe his boyfriend about his looks. Al's opinion of him is the only one that matters here anyway.
This all comes to a head when one day Gwen sort of jokingly asks Finney if he wants her to do his makeup. She had caught him watching her carefully apply eyeshadow from the crack in her door. To her surprise, he agreed. Not one to judge, Gwenny just invites her big brother in and tells him to take a seat on her bed. He does and she just absolutely goes to town on his face.
She applies every technique she learned from watching late night infomercials for the latest makeup trends. In the end, Finney actually looks really nice. She tells him as much and grabs him her little hand mirror she got as a birthday present from their mom all those years ago.
When Finney sees himself for the first time, he's a little taken aback. His father's voice in his head warns him that "boys shouldn't wear makeup" with a drunken slur but Finney just shakes it off. He likes how he looks.
The dark brown eyeshadow and rosy blush compliment his features really well. The bright red lipstick makes everything pop. He really likes how he looks-- and how he feels. Who would have known?
In an excited rush he pulls Gwen into a quick bear hug and runs his way outside to the garage where his bike is parked. It's Wednesday night and his dad is working late. What he doesn't know won't hurt him; Gwenny is fine on her own, anyway.
He bikes all the way over to Al's house and rushes to grab the key hanging from his neck to unlock the front door. Samson is of course the first to greet him, the eager pup that he is. Albert can hear Finney's giggles all the way from his bedroom and comes out to see him standing there looking absolutely breathtaking.
"Al! Look what Gwen did!!"
The poor man doesn't even get a word out before Finney comes barreling towards him, throwing his arms around his torso as he beams up at him.
"Wow. You look... gorgeous, baby. My beautiful boy."
In a turn of events everyone saw coming, that's all it takes to get Finney to lunge up at Al and claim his mouth with a kiss.
By the end of the night, Finney's poor eyeshadow is all smudged and his lipstick is now more on Albert than it is himself. From the man's mouth, neck, and chest all the way down to his unzipped fly.
Finney really should have asked Gwen how to get this stuff off.
