Eli’s week was off to a really rough start. Hearing from her ex-boyfriend of four years was already enough to throw her for a loop. But then, to hear through the muckraker that her parents had essentially bribed him to stay with her after their break-up because it made her more bearable? It killed her. Whether the comments had been made as a joke or not didn’t matter—Eli was hurt. After a big blow up fight with her parents about it, Eli spent a couple of days at Finn’s place and then made the decision to go stay with her grandfathers indefinitely. Her plan was to have one of her grandpas pick her up at home after she’d packed a suitcase of her essentials, but both of them were running errands and would be a little while. Frustrated and not wanting to spend another minute at home, she called her Uncle Blaine. After a short, teary conversation on the phone, she got him to agree to scoop her so that she could wait to be picked up at the Hummel-Anderson residence instead of her own. Once she heard a honk outside, Eli booked it down the stairs with her suitcase and out the front door she went. She quickly packed her bag into the trunk and then let herself into the passenger side of the car. “Hi Uncle B,” the St. James daughter greeted, buckling herself in and giving a sad smile, “thanks for picking me up. You’re really saving my life.”

Although Blaine was just as much of a Broadway veteran as Rachel and Jesse, he had always encouraged his children to find their own hobbies, to have their own dreams, instead of trying to push them into the direction of musical theatre. No matter how much he loved his friends, it was hard for him to see how strained their relationship with Eli was, and how much their daughter seemed to struggle with the fact that she didn’t live up to their expectations. Not only had he been in a similar situation with his own father, but the St. James kids were practically family, which is why he had always made sure to be another adult figure in Eli’s life. Someone beside her parents who would be there for her no matter what, whether she needed advice, a ride home or simply a shoulder to cry on. So when Eli called him, in tears, he immediately made his way over to the St. James residence to pick her up. When the girl sat down in the passenger seat, he greeted her with the same sad smile she had given. “Hi, of course. You know you can always call me. Are you alright?” Blaine wasn’t entirely aware of the details of the situation, having only heard what Eli told him during their brief conversation on the phone. Word spread fast in a small town like Lima, though, and he’d heard some whispers, but he wanted to hear what was going on from Eli herself.

But I get why dad wouldn’t want to be called that, I’m not sure if I would like to have my coach calling me Porcelain Junior or something like that… And yes, it’s the best thing ever! I just wish there would be cannons like when Sue was coach… I just think that would be fun. And that’s awesome, maybe we should run into her then! And also, they said that I might get to be the captain next year! You know, in my second senior year…”

“Just be warned that although your coach is never going to call you that, Sue might if she ever meets you. Joey, trust me, you should be very glad that there are no cannons anymore. That idea was incredibly dangerous, and I’m still so glad they were able to stop her before anyone got hurt. Really? Joey, that’s amazing! I’m so proud of you. How do you feel about it? Going into your second senior year, I mean? I feel like we haven’t really talked about it that much just yet.”

and the school was okay with this? i am so glad she wasn’t there to force us to shoot out of cannons. i would have defiantly got my dads involved if that ever happened. yeah, she will probably haunt you for the rest on your life. she doesn’t seem like the type to just go away.

I believe Principal Figgins stopped her and ended up giving part of her budget to the Glee club. But I wasn’t attending McKinley yet when it happened, so I’m not entirely sure, especially because I’ve heard so many crazy stories about her. Seen my fair share too. I like to think that your dads would have sued the school faster than you could’ve said ‘cannon’. Yeah... I’m afraid you’re right about that.

wow my parents told me about her when they were in high school. heard she’s not a friendly sight. i hope you were able to get what you needed and left? maybe she’s picking up … yeah i got nothing to be honest. but sounds like a very awkward encounter. 

Yeah, she’s... intense. Browsing sheet music while she was there, staring at me, was kind of impossible, to be honest, so I ended up leaving without buying anything. Let’s all just be glad she’s not coaching the Cheerios anymore.

One day the old broad will die off though and then she’ll just be able to haunt Lima which is probably what’s going to happen. She doesn’t seem like the kind of person that just goes away.”

“Oh, you and me both. I’d pay some serious cash to find out what on earth she puts in those shakes of hers. Spliff Queen Schuester? Yeah, that’s... not a nice one. Right! What could she possibly need sheet music for? That definitely sounds like something she’d do, though. And oh my God, please remind me to move to Europe when that happens. Human Sue Sylvester is scary enough. I have zero interest in meeting her ghost.”

Porcelain was Sue’s nickname for Kurt back in high school, so apparently, that makes me Mrs. Porcelain. Could you just please not mention that nickname to him, though? I don’t think he’d appreciate being reminded of it, to be honest.

Me too! And that woman sure knows how to win a championship. But I definitely don’t think any of that was safe and legal. Luckily, they were able to stop her before any lawyers had to get involved. Yeah, I’m afraid it’s something like that. I just hope she’ll give up soon if I keep ignoring her.

“Yes. Yes, it is. Well, it’s... it’s a long story. Please don’t mention that nickname to your dad. You’re right about that, though. She was a great coach, and she definitely knew what she was doing. Practice was both emotionally as well as physically draining, but she did always manage to bring out the best in us. Well, when it came to cheerleading, at least... But hey -- maybe we’ll run into her again next time you and I go somewhere. Then you can say hi.”

She’s not that bad…. okay she’s scary, but she well. Okay no I change my mind she’s absolutely scary but I’m sure she isn’t as bad as she was back when you were in school? And if she is well well I’m sorry that you had to deal with the devils henchmen.

See -- that’s it. You just never know what to expect from her. One moment, she seems to mean well and to genuinely care about her students, and then she’s suddenly making plans to shoot cheerios out of a cannon again and locking people up in fake elevators. Maybe you’re right, though. It’s definitely possible she isn’t as bad nowadays. I just wish I’d stop running into her all the time. 

It feels like wherever I go this week, Sue Sylvester is there too. And I get that it’s not that odd to run into each other in the hallways or at the grocery store (does she really have to whisper ‘Hello Mrs. Porcelain’ in my ear when she’s standing behind me in line though?), but what on earth is that woman doing at Between The Sheets? It’s almost starting to feel like she’s following me around on purpose...

{ darren criss, cismale, he/him } - hey look it’s { blaine hummel-anderson }!! i heard they are working as { drama teacher & new directions co-director } at { mckinley high }!! someone also told me that they are { forty-five } but i don’t buy it!! but i heard they are { +dedicated, +sympathetic } and { -naïve, -vulnerable } but it could be just a rumor!

hi guys!! my name is marit and i’m super excited to be here (again - i was here about six months ago or so??)!  pls feel free to message me here or on discord if you’d like to plot! sooo, here’s what you missed on glee in blaine h-a’s life: 

after getting married to kurt, moving back to new york & graduating from nyu, blaine became a broadway actor & a singer-songwriter. over the years he starred in several musicals, including west side story, grease, dear evan hansen & hairspray, and he ended up winning several tony’s & got nominated for a grammy.

despite their love for the city, kurt & blaine eventually decided to move back to ohio, so they could be closer to their family. blaine still misses nyc a lot, but he knows moving back would be a big step.

blaine is now mckinley’s drama teacher and the co-director of the new directions. he’s a very open, dedicated & supportive teacher and he genuinely cares about his students. if your character ever needs to talk to an adult, needs advice, a ride home, an emergency juice box or anything else don’t be afraid to approach him, even if it’s 3am!! he went all mr. schue on his glee students & gave them all his phone number. he’s here and he will try his best not to won’t judge.

family is the most important thing in the world to him though. he’d do anything for his kids & husband and he’s a very open and supportive father. he’s never been close to his own father (although their relationship has gotten better over the years, especially since kurt & blaine started having kids) so he wants to make sure his own kids have someone they can always rely on & who’s supportive of them, no matter what. whether they play football, join show choir or fix cars, he just wants them to be happy & is super proud of them. he’s also the kind of parent that gave them the talk™ quite early on (condoms included, be safe kids) and he’s okay with them having a sip of his wine, just to try it. he tries to be strict sometimes but.... he’s just not good at it. he believes that giving his kids some freedom and letting them ~experiment with things at home is better than having them sneak out and do god-knows-what behind his back.

i think that’s pretty much it for now?? i might add more later. basically, i’m just keeping everything canon apart from the blainofsky relationship if that’s alright?? i’d prefer to say that blaine briefly dated an npc if that’s okay <3 and if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask!!
