Takeover -
In BB17, the producers made the season in a “Takeover” but it was cancelled after 3 weeks. In week 1 Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race host) gave us BB fans Jackie Ibarra and Jeff Weldon and the BB Fast Forward giving Da’vonne Rogers and Vanessa Rousso Oullet* could give 2 other HGs immunity they chose Liz Nolan and Austin Matelson. The week after it was the Last Laugh which Da’vonne won and blocked Becky Burgess, Jackie and Jeff from voting in that week’s eviction. In the final week of Takeover was a Party in the house, including the shower. After the parties were done we got a luxury competition which was Vanessa, Austin, John “Johnny Mac” McGuire, Meg Maley Holloway** & Jason Roy. Meg won the competition and got a luxury cruise.

Snake -
The Snake's goal is to influence the other houseguests into evicting one another without bringing attention to himself or herself. A Snake will typically select the passive or selective competitive strategy. Fans sometimes refer to this strategy as being a rat, and is not a very popular strategy among the fans. Nicole Franzel-Arroyo* and Da’vonne Rogers worked together twice (BB18&BB22) with this strategy.

Leader -
The Leader's goal is to keep his or her alliance or sub-alliance in the house for as long as possible so that his or her control of the game increases. Leaders will most often select the aggressive competitive approach, although they will sometimes choose selective maneuvering. A common example was the 3AM alliance from BB15, being made of Amanda Zuckerman Zachman*, McCrae Olson and Andy Herren as Amanda was leading the alliance to F3, but that failed when Andy evicted her at the double eviction alongside Elissa Reilly Slater** at the final 7/8.

Floater -
The Floater's goal is to stay out of the way and to be seen as a non-threat while the Leaders and the Gamers take themselves out of the game. Unlike Coasters, Floaters deliberately attempt either to play multiple sides of the house against each other or to remain in the middle of opposing alliances in order to strategically further themselves in the game. The typical competitive strategy choice for Floaters are selective or passive.
Iconically and ironically, after winning the week 4 Head of Household Rachel Reilly Villegas* called Kristen Bitting a floater and not a coaster.
*Rachel at the time went by Rachel Reilly
