Making a comeback on SBS, Yang Hyun Seok, 'it is not because of the comeback special'

Yang Hyun Seok has commented on Big Bang's comeback with the Starin reporters.

Coming back on 29th, Big Bang has swept  all the music charts. They are  regarded as a 'hot' group in the music industry. They appeared in 'Healing Camp' on 20nd and in March, they will guest on 'Running Man' on 4th and 11th. Interview with the brother of the deceased in Daesung's traffic accident On the latest episode of KBS Entertainment Relay, controversies of idol group, Big Bang, was brought up again into the spotlight, disrupting their recent comeback preparations.  On a recently broadcasted episode of KBS Entertainment Relay on the 25th, a 15-minute segment titled ‘Big Bang, is their comeback a forgiven comeback?’ was reported. The main subject discussed throughout this segment was about the group’s comeback and whether or not their public comeback was still too early. But a portion of this subject is far different from the existing truth. It also resulted in a massive group suspicion that all this was reported lopsidedly. Entertainment Relay had recently met up with the mother of the deceased victim from the accident Daesung was involved. The mother stated in the interview with Entertainment Relay that, “He (Daesung) never even came near our home after he showed up to the funeral once” and that “We couldn’t even see his face at the funeral. And he definitely did not pay for the settlement costs.” This was information began questioning Daesung and YG Entertainment’s statement that they had received forgiveness from the victim’s family and that everything was settled. Both sides of the story are completely different. Accordingly, the message from the mother, “We never even saw Daesung’s face” left many people in shock. Immediately after the Entertainment Relay episode was broadcasted, many of Big Bang’s fans have begun backlashing on their personal SNS (social networking service) accounts. Many were wondering whether or not this was all just a hoax created by Entertainment Relay due to KBS and YG Entertainment’s uncomfortable and negative relationship and that it may all be just a scheme of revenge. Of course we saw him and he looked very pitiful. Although the pain of losing my brother was grand, it was not a situation where Daesung was to be blamed for everything. Everything was extremely complex. Having thought of it (that not everything was Daesung’s fault) this way helped my heart calm down and I was able to converse with Daesung. Did your family’s side and Daesung’s side not reach a settlement? Was compensation not received? ▲ On the morning of July 19, 2011, we did come to a settlement and compensation was made. Daesung was not able to do it personally, but a person who was helping Daesung out at the time had come to our house. At that time, my mother, my father, myself, and even my aunt were all there in the spot together. We were told that the parents of the victim needed to be present and everything was explained to my parents as well. They even signed the settlement and compensation agreement papers. But in the interview with Entertainment Relay, the mother of the victim stated that no settlement and compensation was received. ▲ Like I already stated, why wouldn’t there have been a settlement or compensation? My mother is currently very ill. She recently received a diagnosis for a brain developmental disability (6th degree developmental disability) from the hospital. She is very unhealthy to the point her memory is unstable. It is to the point she barely even remembers her interview with Entertainment Relay. Even my father is ill. Is it (the illness) due to the loss of her son? ▲ It is just from a chronic illness she has gained after a surgery she had undergone a few years ago. She was fine and her memory was still in tact, but with many hardships around the house and only having outpatient treatment available, her health got worse since all she could do was stay at home. As a son, it is a bit embarrassing. Are you having family difficulties and circumstances? From the Entertainment Relay segment, it seemed to be a hard life your family is living. ▲ It is not as bad as it was portrayed in the show. The area we are living in is starting to undergo remodeling and redevelopment, so we were planning on moving in April. But with our parents’ condition, we just haven’t been cleaning up the house, that’s why it seemed so messy. Big Bang is scheduled to begin their promotions in early March. The group is to hold concerts on March 2 through 4 at Korea’s largest indoor venue, the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium. Big Bang Ranks in Forbes Korea "Top 40 Celebrities" The interesting thing to note about this year’s list is that 10 of the top 20 celebrities are idol singers. T.O.P becomes a suave gentleman for ‘Cosmopolitan’

Big Bang's Rise in Worldwide Popularity 

Big Bang’s comeback is causing a syndrome at home in Korea and abroad. The announcement of Big Bang’s fifth mini album, “Alive,” has been attracting much attention all over the world. On February 22, the first single, “Blue,” was released and since has been doing very well on domestic charts as well as overseas through iTunes. The single’s music video has gained immense viewership on Youtube as well reaching over 6 million views in three days.  The single “Blue” was made available at the same time on digital music sites such as MelOn, Naver, and MNET. Within an hour the newly released track had achieved an “all-kill” on the domestic music sites. “Blue” has continued to be at the top spot since its release.  The music video for the single also was released on February 22. After a day of being revealed to the public the video pulled in over 1 million views. Currently, the view count stands at over 6 million views. The popularity of the video is spreading worldwide and continues to grow even higher. The map shows where exactly the popularity of “Blue” is the strongest. “Blue” further proves it is popular in many countries through the iTunes charts. The United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Mexico have the single ranked at #45, Australia #51, New Zealand #61, and Finland where the song made it into the top three. Yang Hyun Suk, “I don’t have the courage to make another group like Big Bang anymore.”

YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk (43), has revealed, “I don’t have the strength or courage to create a group like Big Bang anymore.”  When CEO Yang recently held an interview at the Seoul Mapo-Gu YG Building, he stated, “Although I will be producing more groups in the future, I don’t think I will ever be able to find new group members that could harmonize with each other as well as Big Bang does. All of them match up to each other perfectly like a man and woman would do when they are in love.”  According to his explanation, Big Bang may not be the best looking and may not be the best dancers out there, but each member holds a distinct individuality as a weapon that allows them to perform freely, which is the main reason why they receive so much love from their fans in and out of our country.  “Usually in both Korea and Japan, group dancing (synchronized dancing) is the most popular characteristic people look for in groups. However, Big Bang shows a lot of free moves and dances within their performances. On KBS “Entertainment Relay”, the controversies of Big Bang’s sudden comeback and incidents from last year were brought up along with very suitable statements. With the recent news of Big Bang’s new comeback, a lot of heated reviews have been made. Especially with the public appearance both Daesung and G-Dragon made asking for the public’s forgiveness. The first major issue that was covered on this day’s episode was of the time Daesung (appeared on Healing Camp and) showed his gratefulness and sorriness, “At the funeral, the family of the deceased got very angry with me. However, the aunt and older brother of the victim came to me personally after some time had passed. They told me, ‘We cannot changed what has already happened and we do not want you leaving what you have behind. We want to see you working harder and smiling on television more often.’” But regarding this situation, Entertainment Relay’s staff was able to personally meet the mother of the deceased and asked about it. The mother responded, “He (Daesung) never even came near here (the house). Even at the funeral, we couldn’t even see his face,” and that Daesung had shown up for one of the funeral days, but never even met up with the victim’s parents. Accordingly, many viewers of tonight’s episode have been commenting, “So what if he didn’t see them? It wasn’t his fault and he didn’t want to purposely kill the man.” And in regards to the settlement money, the parents stated, “We have not gotten any.” With the parents living through hardship in a poor environment, it saddened the viewers as they were watching them throughout this interview. On one hand, Daesung was acquitted for the accident and had released announcements of a new drama production only after four months. G-Dragon had also continued to film television advertisements even after his marijuana controversy. Some arguments are being made that they are taking advantage of the suspension of indictment and acquittance that were given upon them. Big Bang reveals addictive preview of ‘Love Dust’ Big Bang is aiming to bomb the music scene again with its new single Love Dust.  The group released a preview and commercial of Love Dust through YG’s official blog and Naver Music.  While Blue was a calm and lyrical piece, Love Dust showcases a brighter mood and an addictive hook, living up to the expectations of those fans who were looking forward to the single ever since its unique title was released.  The commercial for the single features a laid back T.O.P. It seems as if he is taking a rest before a shoot, listening to music in a neat suit that contrasts with his mint colored hair.  Big Bang plans to reveal video previews of its new singles with the members until February 29, when the full album will be released.
