Part 1: A Dream of the Trees
He is known by many names- Prince of Stories, Shaper, Lord Morpheus, Dream of the Endless - but many a child 'round the world hearing stories at bedtime know him simply as The Sandman.
It's my pleasure to share this project with you after sitting on it for so long! The Sandman (Neil Gaiman) is a profoundly important & personal piece of literature to me, & Mr. Dream such an important figure, I absolutely needed to bring him into the waking world. I worked, reworked & re-reworked on my interpretation of him until finally saying "done!" in December of 2022.
I learned so much about what I could accomplish sculpting with fabric, I'm very proud of him & love him terribly. I really hope you will enjoy him too!

Here’s a wip!
This has taken a lot longer than I expected and there’s a TON of stuff I would’ve done differently now (I made the tail WAY too big) bUT it’s been a fun process so far!
Now it’s time to move onto clothing, which is probably gonna be the hardest part for me,, Wish me luck!

Non-sims content: Dolls
OK I lied when I said 'that's it from me today' in my last Xella post earlier 😂
I realised I needed to get photos of her 3rd outfit!
I apologise for the crappy quality, my phones camera has a crack across it so it tends to get blurry in some areas, and crazy lens flares in others.
But anyway, this outfit consists of a:
Ribbed turtle neck top
Knife-pleated plaid skirt
Pinafore style apron
Some cute little teeny weeny tiny hair clips
I'm currently lacking in any form of fasteners except for a few of these white buttons so she's very much pinned into her clothing for the time being.
I also love how easy her hair...I mean tentacles! (sorry Xella) are to style in different ways.
Alrighty I'm officially done fawning over this galactic gal for today 😂👽

i was looking through the Doll Parts Bin -> found this old head sculpt i made, and a torso that happened to match in size -> decided to cobble together a fae. decorating things with fake plants & miscellaneous bits is definitely one of my happy places in art.
the dragonfly wing frame files are from here. i added a coating of thick varnish tinted with acrylics to fill in the holes and make them fit the vibe.
