Ok so I watched bad buddy ep. 5 yesterday and I have been in a constant state of squealing since... seriously the first thing i thought about after waking up today was those two
That kiss just broke me. Their HANDS !!! The hands portrayed their feelings so perfectly especially right after the kiss
Pat holding Prans face like it is the most precious thing in the world to him. Because it IS... oh so much tenderness right there paired with that relieved smile it was just SO SO GOOD
And on the other hand (heh) Prans hands just perfectly showing his conflicted feelings. The longing. The hesitation. The love. The fear of losing what he just and finally got to have holding him back from fully clinging to Pat. He barely touches him still afraid of what is going to happen in the future. He still can't fully relax and is in so much pain
So so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time
hiiiiya nonnie! oh i feel you so hard; my brain has absolutely been just bad buddy and fragrance of the first flower this weekend! the kiss ruined me fully. it was so lovely to see the desperation and the longing and the yearning that was held in it... you can really see the decade-long pent up emotions pouring out into it.
and their hands! wow, i absolutely agree with the way you put it. it was devastating to see how gently pat held his face in his hands, how he clutched at the back of his neck and then his hair and then pulled him closer like pran's the most precious thing in the world to him. it makes sense, too, for pat's character journey this episode. he has a very quick revelation about his buried feelings for pran and i can imagine that would be extremely intense, especially powered through the jealousy of seeing/hearing pran and wai together, and now having the chance to kiss him. for pat, they may not be new feelings, but it is a new revelation! and that will obviously be very fresh in the way it presents itself, which is why i really liked the way ohm portrayed that by his hands never stopping until he had his whole face/head framed in them. he even brushes pran's cheek with his thumb after he kisses him with that beautiful smile on his face. i am WRECKED!!!
pran ... wow, he broke me during that kiss. he's been grappling with his feelings for longer and is almost at peace of never being able to have pat the way he wants him ... and then suddenly, even though pat was talking about liking a girl just the episode before, he's kissing him. damn, he pulls him in because he doesn't know if he's going to have the chance to ever kiss him again, but he's filled with so much yearning and longing that he can't help but kiss him. the way he only slides his other hand up pat's neck after a while ... and the way that whereas pat's hands are caressing his cheeks gently, his own are just barely brushing pat's neck. it's so painful and speaks so much to where his head's at! he's so scared of what happened last time he was close to pat, what could happen this time now that he's this close with him. it's better to hold him at arm's length than risk losing him forever for the second time.
so he leaves ... and again, for the second time, pat is left standing there. the one left behind. it's so heartbreaking.

P’Aof really is an incredible storyteller.
Up until this episode, we’ve seen things from Pran’s perspective. All the pain and flirting that he’s endured, only for Pat to tell him he likes someone else. We were there for his heartbreak that built up over four episodes.
And then there’s episode five - where suddenly we seen things from Pats point of view and he realizes his feelings for Pran so fast it almost gave me whiplash.
But that’s the brilliance of it. Pran’s story took four episodes because that’s how his personality is. It takes him time to open up, to get comfortable with someone and even admit to himself that he cares for someone. He had to logically accept how he felt about Pat before being able to fully embrace it. It was a methodical process.
Pats story took only one episode because it took him no time at all to accept his feelings for Pran. It just made sense to him. He accepted it quickly because that’s who he is.
And then their stories converged with the kiss. It’s not Pat or Pran’s story anymore… it’s their shared story.

it’s so heart-breaking to see how pran plays off his feelings. the way he smiles when watching pat sleep—a little quirk of the mouth that is subconscious and lies outside of his control—and how he’s content with just watching him exist. yet he knows he can never have him the way he wants to have him, which is why this one little tear escapes from his eye, but he shrugs it off. he sighs about crying. the way he thinks he’s ridiculous for even wanting him, for even letting himself feel. but it’s always been pat. since high school, it’s always been him.
